As a Junior Software Engineer (all genders) in the Fulfillment Core team at Zalando, you provide centralised capabilities around Inventory Management and build products that are the foundation of every fulfillment aspect. You will be able to drive and shape interesting new projects and influence the future of inventory management at Zalando.

WHAT WE'D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
You’ll develop and test features, which are deployed to production and create value for customer.
You’ll improve the team's developer experience, by automating repetitive tasks or improving test coverage.
You mainly work on extending existing software components by implementing small features and bug fixes for existing functionality.
WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
You have an academic degree in computer science or a comparable field.
You have a min of 1 year experiences with a JVM based language like Java/ Kotlin or having experiences with Typescript/ Javascript. Knowledge of the Spring Boot, KTOR, React frameworks are a plus.
You understand business value for the customers or teams
You focus on learning good practices, software design, and engineering methodology fundamentals
You aim to constantly understand the real-time behavior of functionality that you have written and deployed to production with the help of your peers
You explain the thinking process and solutions clearly in team discussions to your peers
You apply structured ways to decompose and solve simple problems, which have been well-defined by others
