The Content Optimisation team at Lounge by Zalando is the central hub for content improvements. We work to enhance visual and written content across all Lounge touchpoints by uniting stakeholders and using new technology. As a Technical Program Manager in our team, you will be crucial for delivering our most technically complex projects. You'll join a team focused on continuous optimisation to improve output, engagement, and conversion.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
You'll serve as the primary strategic interface between diverse internal and external teams, orchestrating complex project delivery from initial concept through to final implementation and impact analysis.
You'll engage with technical stakeholders as primary partners, ensuring their input and requirements are fully integrated into project planning and execution.
You'll drive the execution of the Content Optimisation roadmap, ensuring projects are delivered on time and successfully meet their intended, measurable business impact.
You'll proactively manage technical risks by identifying, assessing, and developing clear mitigation strategies throughout the entire project lifecycle.
You'll act as our lead problem-solver, clearing bottlenecks and overcoming obstacles with a solution-oriented mindset to ensure program delivery stays firmly on track.
You'll articulate complex technical and operational issues with clarity, translating them for diverse audiences—from engineers to executives—to influence and support effective decision-making.
You'll partner closely with strategy and analytics teams to translate performance data, like insights from A/B tests and user behavior, into both actionable strategies and the clear technical requirements needed for execution.
You'll lead the evaluation and implementation of new tools, visual standards, and workflow improvements, always with a focus on driving long-term scalability and operational efficiency.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
You are able to skilfully oversee complex, multi-stage technical projects and programs and bring them to a successful conclusion.
You have a proven track record in software delivery or equivalent experience.
You can identify the right stakeholders when working on projects, understand their needs, and use their input to drive decisions.
You have experience in preparing and supporting problem solving and decision making by identifying and involving the relevant stakeholders.
You can balance trade-offs around time, scope, and resources in the delivery of multi-module software systems.
You actively contributed to Engineering and Project Management initiatives by sharing lessons learned, successes, and failures.
You use your analytical mindset to proactively identify technical risks and support effective decision-making.
You excel at involving the right people at the right time and can clearly translate complex topics for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You take ownership beyond your immediate tasks and proactively contribute where you see a need, focusing on the project's overall success rather than strictly defined responsibilities.
