As a Senior Software Engineer in Lounge Supply you will join a team that is serious about design, rock solid APIs and fun.
You will join a team that is responsible for developing tooling to get the best supply for our campaigns on the best terms. We build frontend and backend services to support our business users on their journey and strive to automate as much as possible.
You will join a team that is in the process of replacing related legacy systems and laying the foundations for a microservice-based, primarily event-driven system.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
You’ll design backend services that help our Lounge by Zalando department execute their work efficiently, and provide foundational data for other departments.
You’ll collaborate with Engineers, Product Managers, Product Designers and Analysts across Zalando to create positive customer impact together.
You’ll write code that is simple, readable, testable and maintainable.
You’ll follow a feature through its entire lifetime from problem formulation to solution delivery.
You’ll improve our internal processes and documentation.
You’ll coach your colleagues and new joiners and share best practices in software development with the engineering community.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
You have at least 5 years of recent industry experience as a backend engineer.
You bring excellent backend software engineering skills. Production grade experience with Golang is a plus.
You have experience in software and API design.
You have experience working with cloud native application development.
You having interest and experience in at least one further technology stack is a plus.
You are experienced with microservices architecture, distributed systems.
You are an avid advocate of operational excellence and product engineering mindset.
You demonstrate very good communication and collaboration skills across functions and teams.
