Early Careers FAQs
We’re all about progression. So, as you reach the end of your contract, you’ll work with your team lead to discuss what happens next and, potentially, how to convert to a permanent Zalando role.
Yes. All our Early Careers roles are paid.
Zalando colleagues are all required to be based within the same city as their allocated office. Relocation assistance is available for our permanent graduate roles.
Colleagues who are eligible can work remotely for up to 60% of their working time. Read more about our hybrid working here.
For internships, we hire throughout the year, with starting dates usually on the 1st or the 15th of the month. Internships last for between 3-6 months.
Our Early Careers roles were designed to help participants grow and develop. So, when speaking with you, we’re assessing your capabilities and ability to adapt. We’re much more interested in your alignment with our values than your school grades.
We do not currently support Dual Study programs, however we are always reviewing our Early Career offerings.
You must be eligible to work in the EU as, unfortunately, we can’t sponsor visas for internships and apprentices. For our working student roles, you must be based in Germany. If you are on a student visa in Germany, you may work 20hrs per week for 1 year, or 40hrs a week for 6 months — or a combination of the two, as long as you don’t exceed your hours.
Our business language is English; it’s spoken in every meeting and every office. For any roles that have other language requirements, such as logistics and customer care, you’ll find these set out in the individual job descriptions.
