In the Size and Fit Engineering team, we fulfill customer’s everyday fashion needs through engaging customer experience and deep customer understanding, one where the products in the parcel live up to the customer's expectations. We make this happen by solving one of the most important online customer problems - Size and Fit. Through customization and innovation we serve the unique needs of Zalando customers shopping core fashion categories.
Our team is looking for a talented iOS Senior Software Engineer with React Native experience who has a strong customer-centric mindset and is passionate about developing high-quality applications with delightful customer experience.
As an iOS Senior Software Engineer, you will join a team that works closely with Product Managers, Designers, and other Software Engineers to fulfill fashion customers' needs through engaging and delightful customer experiences that blend inspiration, quality, entertainment, and seamless digital interaction. We build customer-facing features across the customer journey to help over 50 million customers across 25 markets find products they love, and buy products they keep, ultimately helping customers to make lasting purchases.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
You will be part of an agile cross-platform team that continuously improves and extends Zalando iOS and Android applications.
You will collaborate closely with Product Management and Product Design to refine designs and functional requirements. You will create test cases to be verified during development and feature releases.
You will act like an owner and take an active role in reducing ambiguity, understanding business requirements, and translating them into technical solutions and requirements.
Proactively suggest and implement improvements while driving the technical design of new features and architectural proposals to ensure scalability, testability, and maintainability.
Stay up-to-date with the latest announcements from Apple WWDC and React Native community, as well as new iOS frameworks, tools, and technologies, to ensure development processes remain modern and efficient.
Grow and share your expertise while actively supporting the growth and development of junior colleagues and peers both within and beyond your team.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
You are an experienced iOS developer (5+ years) who is eager to work with new technologies and always tries to challenge yourself and deliver high quality code.
You have a deep understanding of iOS mobile development and Apple design principles, and hands-on experience integrating native iOS modules.
You have proven experience developing and shipping React Native applications, a good understanding of React Native fundamentals, and experience working with TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
You own your code and are passionate about writing well structured, readable, and maintainable code that’s covered by automated tests.
You embrace agile software development practices, and support others through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
You have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate respectfully with others by listening, communicating clearly, and actively sharing knowledge.
You always put yourself in your customer's shoes and therefore you take pride in developing user-friendly and high-class features.
