In the Size and Fit Engineering team, we fulfill customer’s everyday fashion needs through engaging customer experience and deep customer understanding, one where the products in the parcel live up to the customer's expectations. We make this happen by solving one of the most important online customer problems - Size and Fit. Through customization and innovation we serve the unique needs of Zalando customers shopping core fashion categories.
Our team is looking for a talented iOS Senior Software Engineer with React Native experience who has a strong customer-centric mindset and is passionate about developing high-quality applications with delightful customer experience.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will join a team that works closely with Product Managers, Designers, and other Software Engineers to fulfil fashion customers' needs through engaging and delightful customer experiences that blend inspiration, quality, entertainment, and seamless digital interaction. We build customer-facing features across the customer journey to help over 50 million customers across 25 markets find products they love, and buy products they keep, ultimately helping customers to make lasting purchases.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
Actively involved in the end-to-end lifecycle of Android and iOS applications, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of high-quality software using both native and React Native technologies to deliver exceptional user experiences.
Share expertise, develop skills collaboratively, and contribute to team knowledge to consistently deliver the best user experience.
Leveraging experience in high-performing teams, you will independently manage end-to-end feature and project delivery. You will also facilitate technical discussions, resolve complex challenges, and support effective team decision-making.
Actively participate in code reviews, providing and receiving feedback to ensure adherence to best practices and high code quality. View feedback as a valuable opportunity for professional growth and team improvement.
Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate complex requirements into clear, actionable technical designs for the team.
Proactively take ownership, reduce ambiguity, and break down complex projects into manageable tasks for team collaboration.
Proactively identify and implement system/process improvements. Contribute to the technical design of scalable, testable, and maintainable new features and architectural proposals.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
You have proven experience developing and shipping React Native applications (5+ years), a good understanding of React Native fundamentals, and experience working with TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
Experienced with React Native ecosystem, including Redux for state management and React Navigation.
You have a good understanding of iOS and Android native mobile development, and hands-on experience integrating native modules.
Possesses understanding of Turbo Modules and App Architecture principles to build robust and performant applications.
You own your code and are passionate about writing well structured, readable, and maintainable code that’s covered by automated tests.
You embrace agile software development practices, and support others through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
You have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate respectfully with others by listening, communicating clearly, and actively sharing knowledge.
You always put yourself in your customer's shoes and therefore you take pride in developing user-friendly and high-class features.
