As Zalando’s second biggest customer facing destination, Lounge is a key driver of Zalando’s mission to be Europe’s starting point for fashion. Every morning at 7 am, we’re opening doors to highly attractive, yet limited deals from brands customers love. To help our 6+ million customers notch up those special fashion pieces they don’t want to miss out on, we need your help! 

As Principal Product Manager, you will shape products that ensure the optimal match making between our customers' demand and the articles offered by our partners. You would be responsible for building and scaling (a) the intelligence engine that powers the articles purchased By Lounge as well as (b) shaping the partner’s and buyer’s experience. We want to build products that make our partners successful within the context of Lounge’s commercial strategy while simplifying the work they need to do to be successful.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

You’re coming in at the very beginning of our journey towards making the article purchases smarter, and own the strategy for how we make the product more appealing to our buyers and partners. You will build a toolkit that empowers our commercial teams to deliver value to our customers within the scope and context of our broader commercial strategy.

  • Create intuitive and seamless partner experience: We aspire to be the platform that partners find the most intuitive and seamless to use. We need to prioritise ease of operations across all partner types to drive partner success.

  • Iterative mindset / growth mindset: It often takes multiple iterations to find the capabilities that matter. We would want you to have an iterative and an experimentative mindset (pivoted around qualitative and quantitative research to hypothesis building), to find those capabilities that really stick and drive the required outcome. 

  • Customer first / Partner first: To build the best possible customer and partner experience, we need to have our ears constantly open to partner’s and buyer’s feedback, and be comfortable changing our plans when we believe something is working or not working based on new cues that come in. 

  • Collaborate and Innovate: Strong team player and collaborator who can excite others to contribute to innovate and improve our value proposition and key user experience.

  • Prioritise User Experience and Compliance: Ensure all foundational products provide an excellent user experience and comply with relevant regulations and standards. 

  • Report: Define and deliver against key performance indicators (KPIs), regularly report progress to senior leadership, and continuously seek improvements based on feedback and performance data.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: You excel at communicating your vision and building strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation. You know how to bring people together, ensuring that Zalando, our partners, and our customers all benefit from your collaborative approach.

  • Strong Data/Quantitative Skills: You have a proven ability to navigate and interpret large datasets, identifying trends, patterns, and insights that lead to actionable recommendations.
