ABOUT THE TEAM
The Business Processes & Tooling Team is part of the newly formed Business Steering & Business Operations unit. We are the architects of the Opportunity-to-Cash (O2C) infrastructure for ZMS. We bridge the gap between Commercial Strategy and Technical Execution, ensuring that every system interaction is seamlessly integrated, commercially logical, and widely adopted.
We are looking for a CRM Consultant to own the frontend user experience of our Salesforce CRM. You will not only train and support our users, but actively work to eradicate "shadow IT" (like offline pipeline spreadsheets) by designing intuitive, holistic workflows. You will act as the crucial translator between our Sales teams' needs and the Group Salesforce engineering teams who build the backend.
INCLUSIVE BY DESIGN
If you think you have what it takes, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every single requirement. You may just be the right candidate for this or other roles!
At Zalando, our vision is to be the leading pan-European ecosystem for fashion and lifestyle e-commerce – one that thrives on diversity and is truly inclusive by design. We believe that diverse teams fuel innovation and creativity, and we actively seek out talent from all backgrounds.
We actively seek to reduce bias in our hiring and employment processes, focusing on your qualifications, skills, and contributions. To support this, we kindly ask that you refrain from including personal details such as your photo, age, or marital status in your CV, ensuring a fair and equitable evaluation based solely on your abilities and potential.
We are committed to providing an exceptional and accessible candidate experience for everyone. If you require any accommodations to support you throughout the hiring process, please let us know – we are here to assist you.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
Holistic Requirement Translation: You collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather business requirements, assessing their end-to-end impact (e.g., how a new Salesforce field affects downstream BI revenue recognition) before translating them into clear user stories and solution designs.
UI/UX & Shadow IT Eradication: You drive innovation by introducing new, user-friendly Salesforce functionalities designed specifically to pull early-stage pipeline tracking out of offline spreadsheets and into the system.
Process Governance & Configuration: You translate business rules into effective Salesforce configurations (e.g., validation rules, page layouts) and oversee data management practices to ensure data integrity and compliance at the entry point.
Engineering Liaison: You act as the primary liaison between the ZMS commercial units and the central Group Salesforce technical teams. You write the precise execution tickets for the engineers and test the implementations to ensure they meet business needs.
Adoption & Training: You develop and conduct engaging training sessions for cross-functional end-users to ensure a high level of proficiency. You create comprehensive, accessible documentation for all workflows.
First-Level Support & Operational Insights: You provide ongoing daily support, troubleshooting user inquiries. You also create and maintain operational dashboards and list views within Salesforce to give Sales Managers real-time visibility into their pipeline performance.
WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF...
You’re proud of a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Informatics, or a related field.
You bring 3+ years of experience in Salesforce administration, configuration, and user support, ideally in a fast-paced commercial or media environment.
You hold relevant certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator and/or Developer), proving your strong technical baseline.
You have a proven track record of training cross-functional teams and possess the strong communication skills needed to explain system logic to non-technical sales representatives.
You possess strong "data acumen" and holistic thinking—you understand that a CRM is not a standalone tool, but the first step in a complex data journey that impacts downstream financial billing.
You stay updated on Salesforce releases and industry best practices, proactively bringing new ideas to the team on how to improve the commercial user experience.
