As an AI Art Director at Zalando SE, you will help shape the visual narrative of Zalando across multiple channels, with a strong focus on AI-generated content. You will oversee and guide the creation of AI-powered visual assets, ensuring they meet our high standards, align with our global brand visual guidelines, and reflect Zalando’s brand principles.
This role blends hands-on creative execution with creative oversight — ensuring that all AI-driven content is innovative, brand-aligned, and resonates with our global audience. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and creative partners to deliver cohesive, cutting-edge campaigns and content, staying on top of emerging trends in AI, fashion, and culture.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
Oversee the production of AI-generated content across Zalando’s channels, ensuring it consistently reflects our Brand & Visual Guidelines.
Execute and support the delivery of campaigns (360° when relevant) that combine AI-generated assets with other creative formats.
Work collaboratively with core creative teams — including strategists, copywriters, producers, art directors, stylists, designers, editors, and more — to integrate AI content seamlessly into campaigns.
Align AI content production with internal and external creative stakeholders, ensuring brand standards are met at every stage.
Partner with external directors, photographers, agencies, and AI specialists to produce high-quality, innovative work.
Monitor and maintain quality control for AI outputs, ensuring they meet KPIs while pushing creative boundaries.
Stay informed on advancements in AI creative tools and processes, and bring that expertise to elevate our brand storytelling.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
You have a degree in Design/Visual Communications, Advertising, Fashion, or a related field and/or relevant industry experience.
3–5 years of experience in art direction within advertising, fashion/beauty, editorial, or a relevant creative industry.
A portfolio demonstrating innovative brand campaigns and/or high-quality AI-generated creative work in the fashion/lifestyle/beauty space.
Strong knowledge of AI content tools and workflows, alongside traditional industry programs (Gemini,Firefly, MidJourney, Comfy UI, Adobe Creative Suite ( e.g. Photoshop,After Effect),CaptureOne, Digital Photography, Film).
Expertise in crafting and optimizing prompts for diverse AI language models to achieve precise, high-quality outputs across various use cases.
A high visual taste level with an understanding of both fashion culture and current AI creative trends.
Skilled at presenting creative ideas clearly to stakeholders.
Organized, collaborative, and solutions-oriented, with an ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Attentive to detail and committed to maintaining high-quality output.
Fluent in English.
