THE ROLE & THE TEAM
As a Junior Product Developer Women & Men, you will be an important part in the creation of our products by supporting the team in the approval process for Zalando's Private Labels assortment, to ensure that all products meet our quality standards and fulfill our customer’s expectations. This role is a 12 months contract.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
Have great self-organizational skills and can deal with a stressful, fast-paced environment. You are highly organized, adaptable to changes and above all, eager to learn and understand more about the technical aspects of Women & Men Apparel.
Organize, measure and prepare samples for physical and virtual assessment and sample meetings.
You are also responsible for developing products and leading garment fittings while constantly checking and improving quality, order conformity and usability and keeping focus on our customer needs.
Enjoy data management and standardisation and bring fresh and new ideas for process optimisation.You aim setting standards early in the process, creating manuals and tools to support the development process.
You are eager to constantly learn, develop personally and on a professional level.
Take over responsibility. You will support across different commodity groups with the aim to handle your own. With the support of your peers and managers you will develop your styles from concept to production while working closely with our Designers and Buyers.
You are comfortable and enjoy the contact with our international suppliers.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF ...
Technical Know How. Working experience of 2 years in a technical product development and/ or garment production related role preferably within Women & Men Apparel. You can modify basic block patterns and have experience in a pattern making software ideally like grafis.You have an understanding of workmanship across jersey and/ or woven products.
Team player. You enjoy working in a team, being supportive, friendly and independent at the same time. You are happy to align with the Buying teams to help translate both basic and trend led products into the aspirations of the Designers and/or Buyers.
Strong analytical skills with knowledge in Google apps/MS Office (especially gSheets/Excel). You will independently analyse product related sales to support the buying team to make the right decision.
Self-motivated person. Once you own a task, you enjoy finishing it with a high standard that you set for yourself and the product. Boredom does not exist; you bring in your own ideas on how to improve product processes.
Quick thinking and proactive attitude. You keep on top of things in a fast-paced environment. The team will benefit from your attention to detail, your solutions orientated approach to challenges and your good sense of character when dealing with suppliers and people at all levels within the department.
