At Zalando’s Partner Tech organisation, our mission is to drive partner success by creating seamless, enjoyable, and scalable experiences for the brands and retailers we work with. As the Head of Product for Partner Tech Foundation, you will lead a high-impact team that owns and evolves the foundational platforms that power all partner-facing products at Zalando — including the Portal Foundation, Communication Platform and other foundational capabilities.
Your work will be instrumental in enabling Zalando’s business units to build fast, efficient, and customer-centric partner applications. You’ll help shape the infrastructure that serves as the backbone for how partners onboard, manage inventory, fulfill orders, and gain insights — creating scalable, intuitive systems that improve the end-to-end partner journey and ultimately enhance the consumer experience.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
Define and drive the long-term product vision and strategy for our foundational platforms and partner portal capabilities
Lead and grow a team of talented product managers, while fostering cross-functional collaboration with engineering, design, and program management
Champion the creation of scalable, reliable, and user-centric products that power partner and internal applications across Zalando
Shape architectural and product decisions by bringing a strong understanding of platform technology and business needs
Ensure robust, detail-oriented execution and continuous improvement across the full product lifecycle
Translate partner and stakeholder needs into innovative, data-driven product solutions that evolve with the business
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
You have a strong strategic mindset and a track record of driving multi-year product vision in platform, infrastructure, or developer experience domains.
You’re an experienced people leader who has built, mentored, and scaled product teams, and knows how to influence across functions and levels.
You understand technical systems deeply enough to contribute meaningfully to platform architecture and design conversations.
You combine data literacy with curiosity and foresight — you identify patterns, anticipate needs, and prioritize for long-term impact.
You bring a high bar for execution, with attention to detail and a proven ability to deliver scalable, high-quality products.
You focus on enabling other teams’ success through shared capabilities, reusable services, and thoughtful internal tooling.
You know how to balance urgency and ambition with care for team wellbeing, fostering a healthy and sustainable pace.
