THE ROLE & THE TEAM
As a Senior Packaging Engineer (m/f/d) in our Packaging R&D Team, you will develop new unpacking experiences that reconcile operational efficiency, customer experience, packaging quality and sustainability. You will rethink our current customer-facing and intralogistics packaging and optimize or design new scalable solutions - supporting discovery, design and delivery for new product categories. You work jointly with our supply partners and internal stakeholders, always keeping a strong focus on our customers and the planet.

End-to-End responsibility for key packaging development projects
Drive innovation to enable, to engineer and design a more sustainable, scalable packaging portfolio
Own and drive all Packaging Quality processes, including testing, site visits and defect resolution
Lead all quality claims and further develop the overall quality framework
Lead alignment with internal stakeholders such as Logistics Operations, Market Research and Category Management when updating or building new unboxing experiences
Engage with our suppliers, manufacturers and logistics service providers as well as universities and start-ups to identify trends and collaboration opportunities
Identify opportunities in the sustainable packaging sphere to elevate our customer experience
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF…
Degree with a focus on Packaging Engineering (Material Science expertise is a plus), Industrial engineering, Logistics Engineering or comparable education as well as professional experience in the area of product / service development within Logistics or Supply Chain.
Relevant professional experience designing new customer propositions and bringing physical products from ideation to production to hand over for scaling. Experience working for a packaging supplier is a plus.
Passion for developing new customer experiences with sustainability top of mind, paper-based packaging, manufacturing, logistics, sustainability desirable
Design-driven and customer-centric mindset: experience running user research is desirable
Excellent English communications skills (German strongly desirable)
Valid driver’s license recognized in Europe
