The Logistics Network Planning team at Zalando ensures an optimal network setup by balancing commercial ambitions with operational capabilities—enabling fast, reliable and efficient service. As part of the Demand Network Planning team, you will be responsible for forecasting outbound and consolidation volumes, ensuring smooth logistics operations and optimal capacity utilization across our network. You’ll work closely with Warehouse and Transport Operations teams to align capacities, optimize processes, and resolve operational challenges.
WHAT WE´D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
Forecast Outbound volumes for our Fulfillment center network as part of the company-wide weekly Sales & Operations Planning Process (S&OP) and oversee our internal and external weekly reportings.
Derive short term steering measures to keep the network in balance based on inputs from our internal stakeholders and changing external factors
Ensure the team’s continuous improvement effort, e.g. developing better forecasting models with positive impact on accuracy, optimize relevant processes and reportings
Plan and integrate new warehouses into our network from a volume and process point of view and align new processes together with internal stakeholders (e.g. Transportation, ZFS, Markets)
WE´D LOVE TO MEET IF YOU
Studies in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or equivalent education through relevant experiences with 3+ years of professional experience in Logistics, S&OP, Network Planning and/or similar field
Strong analytical skills, you love to work with numbers, quickly notice the connections and draw the right conclusions from them. You know your way around common software products and are an expert on putting these conclusions in concise reports. (Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets; SQL & Python knowledge is a plus.)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and ability to work with people from different departments and levels (from Logistics to Tech, from Junior to Management) German language skills are a plus.
