THE ROLE & THE TEAM
As Senior Product Designer of the Assortment & Inbound team, you will shape the future of Zalando’s internal and partner-facing services and products. We are looking for a seasoned Product Designer to discover, design and deliver next-generation productivity solutions that unlock commercial growth and operational efficiency for partners and colleagues within Zalando.
The team is part of Partner Tech, designing and developing technology to empower Zalando and its partners. The team is responsible for the end to end experience of both Zalando and its partners, from initial onboarding, to making products available on the Zalando platform, including setting and managing offers, logistics, planning, buying and adhering to requirements around safety, managing stock and inbound processes, quality and other compliance aspects, reporting, analytics, and insights.
The Assortment and Steering, Inbound and Product Compliance team focuses on planners, buyers, and partners to build the collection and manage the stock of articles, as well as manage ordered goods transportation to ensure efficient use of resources and warehouse space, including complying to legal requirements on the articles received.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
You’ll work with various stakeholders to understand business context, and contribute to developing/customising a relevant and scalable solution and support with implementation
You’ll bring clarity to complex design projects by turning bold ideas into concrete concepts and design assets, researching and translating for business stakeholders the needs of internal users and partners, and driving alignment around the customer experience vision.
You’ll support the implementation of a solution and measure it against success criteria (e.g. customer feedback).
You’ll leverage a diverse design toolkit—including user research, workshop facilitation, and UX/UI design—to craft cohesive, end-to-end customer journeys.
You’ll understand deeply how we run our business to tackle bottlenecks and growth opportunities together with dedicated Product Managers and Engineering teams.
You’ll be working with design systems, leveraging tokens to create cohesive, scalable designs.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting product discovery processes.
Defining and leading solution design efforts.
Building strong connections with stakeholders and aligning on design goals.
Creating assets and detailed design specifications for developers.
Conducting design QA to uphold quality and consistency standards.
Documenting design patterns and integrating them into the design system portal.
We value a passion for UX and UI design, paired with exceptional attention to detail. Collaboration and communication are essential to this role, as you will work closely with both the design system team and cross-functional colleagues.
An interest in emerging technologies such as AI is highly regarded and will add value to this role.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
You have a solid range of design skills in your ever growing toolkit – including user research, workshop facilitation, UX and UI design – to ensure fluid and holistic customer journeys.
You have the ability to take ownership of design projects from ask to implementation.
You have worked on complex design projects, and are able to turn innovative ideas into tangible concepts and design artifacts, thus creating clarity amid uncertainty to empower your team to drive the customer experience vision forward. Strong understanding of design concepts and the ability to bring clarity to ambiguous, strategic projects.
You have experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to design intuitive and impactful user experiences for AI-powered products that leverage machine learning technologies, and data-driven applications. Strong communication and stakeholder management to navigate the complexity of cross-functional teamwork
You have experience designing and delivering coherent personalized customer experiences by working in/with cross-functional teams, and partnering with stakeholders and other designers to develop remarkable solutions that challenge the status quo.
You love designing innovative technology products and place humans at the center of your design process — ensuring that geeky tech and forward-looking experience design always serve real human needs.
