We are seeking a Senior CGI Generalist Artist with a strong focus on 3D modelling, combining creative vision and technical expertise to deliver exceptional CGI content for both still and animated projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality models, textures, lighting, and renders, working closely with clients, art directors, project managers, and team members to ensure all deliverables meet creative standards and project requirements. This role requires providing artistic and technical input, staying current with emerging CGI tools and techniques, and efficiently managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment to achieve visually compelling results.
WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
Collaborate with art directors, project managers, clients, and other team members to understand project requirements and specifications.
Develop and create visually stunning CGI for various projects.
Provide artistic and technical direction to ensure the CGI aligns with the overall vision of the project.
Work together with other artists, designers, and developers to ensure the final product meets the required standards and specifications.
Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in CGI and implement best practices into your work.
Work within project budgets and timelines, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and to a high standard.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising workload as needed.
Regularly communicate with project managers, clients, and other team members, providing updates on project status and progress.
Offer guidance and mentorship to junior team members as required.
WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design, Art, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in CGI production, with a strong portfolio of work.
Expertise in Blender, including a deep understanding of its 3D modelling, texturing, shading, lighting, and rendering capabilities, as well as proficiency in utilising its tools for animation and virtual production workflows.
Proficiency in software such as Adobe Substance, Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects (Adobe Suite).
Strong knowledge of lighting, texturing, and compositing techniques.
Excellent artistic and creative skills, with a strong eye for detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience in providing creative and technical direction on projects.
Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python is a plus, enabling the creation of custom tools, automating repetitive tasks, and optimizing workflows within CGI production pipelines.
