THE ROLE & THE TEAM

Zalando has exciting growth plans and finding the right talent and leadership has never been as important. Given the ambitious strategy for 2025, Zalando is now looking for an experienced Executive Talent Sourcer to join our in-house executive search team.

As an Executive Talent Sourcer, you will support our most critical executive hiring, directly influencing the future evolution of Zalando. You will own the sourcing strategy for all executive recruitment roles, creatively problem solving to advise our most senior leaders. You will build meaningful relationships with executive talent, while developing strategic pipelines for future markets and geographies to be developed. 

As we continue to innovate, you will develop and lead key strategic initiatives to meet the future needs of Executive Recruitment at Zalando.


 

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

  • Creatively problem solve to build and execute strategies for Director and VP-level searches across all corporate functions, and identify executive talent with a focus on representation. Drive impactful research to provide a realistic picture of the current talent market, build deep market insight, and identify emergent trends.

  • Lead with ownership and proactivity, providing robust project management to advance the search and ensure quality of experience to both candidates and stakeholders.

  • Be a self-confident and consultative advisor to executive leadership across their leadership talent needs.

  • Effectively partner and collaborate with executive recruiters to lead briefing meetings, creation of job descriptions, and deliver target long/shortlists of candidates.

  • Win over and develop trusted, long-term relationships with candidates by managing expectations and leading with an advisory approach.

  • Contribute to longer term strategic talent initiatives and support innovation and improvement in our systems and processes.


WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

  • Proven track record in leading sourcing for executive searches, either within an executive search firm or an in-house leadership recruiting function. 

  • Experience of creative problem solving to drive research in challenging or technically complex domains, while promoting diversity and representation. Curiosity and proven ability to quickly ramp up to new areas, domains, and functions. 

  • Persuasive, can-do mentality to identify, engage, and evaluate the best talent from around the world.

  • Credibility and consultative approach to advise and influence senior executive leadership and stakeholders.

  • Ability to partner and collaborate effectively with recruiters and hiring managers, to deeply understand the business need, move searches forward, and ensure a productive and fun work environment.

  • Leading with curiosity, collaboration, proactivity, and ownership.
