THE ROLE & THE TEAM
 

As a (Senior) Marketing Manager for the Netherlands you will position Zalando as the leading online shop for fashion in the market. You will be responsible for developing a comprehensive marketing plan and executing all local marketing activities to further develop the Zalando brand in the Netherlands. You will act as the guardian of the Zalando brand and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and seamless execution of marketing campaigns across multiple channels. 

This role is Berlin based and relocation is necessary. This role is a maternity cover and includes a limited contract

WHY YOU SHOULD BE INTERESTED…

  • The (Senior) Marketing Manager plans, orchestrates and executes all local marketing activities across multiple touchpoints (paid, owned and earned media) to drive brand awareness, build brand equity and support certain categories and/or propositions. Type of initiatives could include local events, brand partnerships, marketing stunts and sponsorships

  • Roll-out and amplify Zalando’s global brand moments in the Netherlands to ensure local relevance and engagement with our Dutch audience

  • Collaborate with our internal media team and local media agency to ensure seamless execution of campaigns across various channels. You help define and implement a touchpoint and media strategy in line with the NL market strategy and ensure we land all of our campaigns with impact

  • Manage our local ambassador programs in collaboration with our local influencer Marketing agency to create authentic and impactful content that aligns with the brand and drives visibility and growth for our key categories and/or propositions.

  • Manage the local marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximised effectiveness across all marketing initiatives.

  • Develop a deep understanding of marketing effectiveness and identify (local) consumer trends and competitive insights that guide decision making

  • Liaise closely with cross- functional teams (Benelux Market, Commercial, CRM, Buying, PR, Corp Comms) to ensure alignment between our activities, report back on performance and collectively deliver against our overall business goals

  • Work closely with local agencies, ranging from creative agencies, media agencies, influencer agencies,  to language service providers in your market 

WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

  • You are a seasoned marketing generalist with solid experience (5+ years of professional experience), preferably in e-commerce fashion with a proven track record in planning and executing successful marketing campaigns and driving business growth

  • You speak Dutch perfectly (native / mother tongue language) and are fluent in English

  • You have a deep knowledge and understanding of the Dutch market and know how to adapt strategies to fit local market preferences, cultures, and requirements.

  • You have a strong experience with full funnel media planning, including paid, owned and earned media channels

  • You have strong skills in collaborating and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders, including agencies (media, creative) and/or key partners. You have experience in working with them to drive creative excellence and maximise marketing effectiveness 

  • You get things done in a fast- paced and continuously changing environment and you have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. You are a team player, well organised and feel comfortable leading multiple key projects with different stakeholder groups.
