THE ROLE & THE TEAM
As a P&O Business Partner, you are part of our in-house HR team. You act as a trusted Partner for our onsite Logistics Management and you will be part of a diverse team of colleagues from business engagement, to deliver high-quality people products and consultancy.
The Logistics Management is part of the largest Business Unit at Zalando, and is responsible for providing the possible and most sustainable post-purchase experience in fashion. They ensure seamless delivery, a returns process that’s second to none, and unparalleled customer care. Furthermore, they design state-of-the-art logistics technologies, leverage data and insights to make Zalando the Starting Point for Fashion.
The HR Business Partner will be supporting around 50 individuals up to Head of level mainly in the area of expertise in Logistics Operations. Apart from working with internal stakeholders this role will also help with driving and fostering collaboration with other HR Business Partners supporting Zalando’s international sites.
The role is located in Głuchów (near Łódź).

WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
Your responsibilities
Be trusted adviser for the management in all topics relating to staff and work together with external service providers, as well as exchanging and coordinating with our central HR team in Berlin, our logistics partners on-site and our legal department regarding any employment law-related questions.
Payroll administration and verification in cooperation with external service providers. Personal files management as well as HR system management.
Actively work with people KPIs and our employee survey as a steering tool to maintain and strengthen the health of our business units by providing insights and translating them into actionable measures that can be adopted by the majority of the units.
Work with Talent Acquisition to define roles, create job postings, and build structured interview processes that help identify the best candidates and conduct recruitment and onboarding processes.
Provide expertise on performance management, compensation and benefits as well as career development and autonomously consult, inspire and enable business leaders on a diverse range of people topics.
Be the go-to person for supporting various ad-hoc office and HR projects as they arise from our teams.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
A minimum of 3+ years professional experience in HR business partnering, or 6+ in HR generalist role, ideally in an international, large, fast pace, dynamic organization from the logistic or production sector.
Solid practical knowledge of Polish employment law and social security systems combined with strong administrative skills in matters related to HR.
Experienced in running and processing payroll information in cooperation with external service providers.
Ability to deliver results with little supervision in a dynamic and often ambiguous environment.
Proven effective consulting skills, with an ability to influence in all directions.
Strong business and HR acumen, including strong problem solving skills, critical thinking, and willingness to be vocally self-critical.
Analytical thinking skills and using data insights proficiently.
Excellent Polish and English communication skills are essential and a commitment to develop and earn the trust of others.
Experience in international companies will be an advantage.
Excellent candidate assessment and relationship building skills, very good communication.
