THE ROLE & THE TEAM

 As a (Senior) Business Continuity Manager (all genders) you will be responsible for the further development of the Business Continuity Management (BCM) framework of Zalando Payments. You will also be collaborating with Zalando Group BCM. This includes, but is not limited to, the conducting of the Business Impact Analysis (BIA), BCM Risk Assessments, and testing exercises and BCM reporting and crisis management.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

  • Lead the further development and continuous improvement of the Business Continuity methodology.

  • Planning, preparation and execution of BIAs and BCM risk assessments for Zalando Payments.

  • Development and implementation of business continuity plans and ICT response and recovery plans. 

  • Conducting business continuity audits and testing of teams within Zalando Payments and third-party service providers. 

  • Further development of crisis management processes with Zalando Payments.

  • Maintain and improve existing BCM awareness channels and training.

  • Advise and support individual business units on all business continuity issues.

  • Ensuring ZPS is up to date with all BCM-related regulatory requirements and industrial standards.

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

  • Degree in Law, Economics, Computer Science or a comparable course of study.

  • At least 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in a financial institution consulting company, an industrial company or a corresponding in-house function.

  • Good understanding of BCM processes,  and good knowledge of practice-relevant standards such as ISO 22301 / 27301, DORA, ZAG MaRisk.

  • Self-driven individual, business fluent in written and spoken English, coupled with strong communication skills.

  • A hands-on self-starter with demonstrated success in navigating ambiguity, managing pressure, and delivering practical solutions.

  • Embraces challenges and is excited about building structure from the ground up while ensuring resilience and stability for the business.

  • Experience in translating data gathered from BCM activities into actionable insights

  • Experience managing BCM-related projects is nice to have.
