THE ROLE & THE TEAM
Are you looking to elevate your finance and controlling skills within a dynamic, supportive, and purpose-driven team? As a Cost Centre Coordinator / Specialist (all genders), part-time (25h p.w), in our Corporate Governance & Sustainability (CG&S) department, you will step into an impactful role where your experience in financial controlling, cost management, and process optimisation will truly shine. Working directly with the General Counsel and SVP of Corporate Governance & Sustainability and reporting into the Team Lead Strategy & Projects, this is an exceptional opportunity to drive measurable results in corporate finance operations, contribute to key strategic projects, and apply your professional experience to the inner workings of Europe's leading online platform for fashion and lifestyle.
WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
Track expenses against project budgets and financial forecasts to ensure alignment with our targets. You will manage the lifecycle of purchase orders to guarantee precise allocation, prevent overbooking, and mitigate financial risks.
Prepare comprehensive budget vs. actual reports, investigate financial variances, and clearly communicate your actionable insights and proposed next steps directly to the top management of CG&S.
Collaborate closely with cost centre owners and controllers. Acting as their primary point of contact, you will use your strong communication skills to translate financial processes, provide guidance on expense categorisation, and facilitate smooth cross-functional alignment.
Identify and implement continuous improvements across core financial workflows. You will proactively contribute to streamlining the accrual process and enhancing our budget and forecast management systems.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
You have successfully completed a degree or a recognised vocational training (abgeschlossene Berufsausbildung) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, alongside a minimum of 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
Solid understanding of accounting and finance principles, specifically in budgeting, accruals, controlling, and financial reporting.
Proficient in using spreadsheets (particularly Google Sheets and Excel) for data analysis, with a strong command of advanced formulas and pivot tables.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills: proven experience acting as a business partner and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical mindset and a keen eye for detail: the ability to solve problems, accurately interpret financial data, and manage multiple strict reporting deadlines efficiently.
You are business-fluent in written and spoken English. German is a bonus but no must.
