THE ROLE & THE TEAM
As a Financial Analyst, you will support the Finance Leadership at Tradebyte and Zalando, acting as a trusted business partner to Finance Operations, Financial Planning, Growth and Commercial teams. You will help translate strategy to operational actions, provide financial insights for decision-making and contribute to the continuous process improvements across the organisation.
WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
You play an essential role in controlling incl. global budget process, monthly variance analysis incl. communication and management reporting
You analyse and understand business drivers and proactively lead ad-hoc scenario analysis to drive insights and help decision-making while working closely with the Finance operational team to make sure actuals/accruals are accurate and up to date.
You shape the future of controlling, reporting and insights in collaboration with stakeholders across Tradebyte & Zalando teams.
You help establish a KPI-driven mindset via setting up dashboards to review key performance metrics, insights, and resulting action steps in partnership with the business.
You support/lead strategic and operational projects that boost our growth, such as business planning and forecasting.
As a partner to business development in the evaluation of growth opportunities and investments, you develop business case standards.
You proactively connect the dots and identify trends, risks, and opportunities to our business to inform forecasting and influence strategy.
You deliver concise and impactful communication on numbers, status of the business, vision and proposals towards internal stakeholders (board, leadership, business partners).
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
You have 6-8 years of relevant work experience in Financial /Business Planning & AnalysIs and /or Accounting; ideally in SaaS.
You have solid knowledge of financial fundamentals and tools (e.g., how to create standardised automated dashboards, how to construct a model, Scenario Analysis in Google Sheets).
You understand basic principles of Accounting & Tax, backed up by a university degree in Finance/Accounting.
You are structured and focused on results with a strong sense of ownership.
You are a partner for the business side of technology with a zeal for data and analysis and the ability to turn data into insights and actions.
You are a strong team player with the ability to set directions in times of ambiguity and change, as well as able to influence and bring an impact cross-functionally.
Tech and digital savviness, as well as Salesforce and BI tool experience, are a plus.
You are an excellent communicator in English, basic conversational skills in German would be an additional benefit.
