THE ROLE & THE TEAM
As a Senior Principal Product Manager in Client Foundations, you will drive the development of the technology platform that powers Zalando’s customer experience.
You will work closely with Engineering, Product, and Design partners to build the core capabilities and shared tools that allow our teams to create coherent, inspiring user journeys. Your goal is to enable the accelerated creation of new experiences by providing state-of-the-art UI frameworks and visual modules.
WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
Lead the planning and deployment of technical products at scale, including building platform-capability products that serve internal and external partners.
Define and execute a strong product strategy for successful client platform products, ideally in an e-commerce or marketplace environment.
Translate customer needs and insights into remarkable products, differentiating between what users say they want and what they actually need.
Collaborate seamlessly with Design, Engineering, and Data Science teams, acting as a force multiplier for the teams who build on your platform.
WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
Experience at Scale: You have significant experience planning and deploying technical products at scale. You have built platform-capability products that serve internal and external partners.
Product Strategy: You have a strong track record of envisioning and building successful platform products, ideally in an e-commerce or marketplace environment.
Internal Tooling: It would be a strong plus if you have experience building internal UI tools specifically for developers, designers, product analysts, and product managers.
Customer Obsession: You understand customer needs and turn insights into remarkable products. You know how to differentiate between what users say they want and what they actually need.
Technical Fluency: You have experience delivering high-quality, cross platform client-facing applications (Web and Mobile).
Collaboration: You thrive in cross-functional environments, working seamlessly with Design, Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science teams.
