THE ROLE & THE TEAM

As the Principal Data Analyst, you will own the vision and roadmap for our partner data in CRM. You will be the bridge between senior stakeholders and engineers, analyzing complex data integrations and translating strategic goals into a prioritized backlog of data products, integration standards, and platform capabilities.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

  • You will own and define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our CRM & processes related to B2B data.

  • You will design and implement critical data monitoring dashboards to track the health of our customer data pipelines, ensuring data integrity from all sources, inside our core Salesforce platform. You will implement data governance policies and processes to improve maintain data quality within the platform

  • You will act as the central voice of the business, prioritizing the development of key data assets (e.g., 360 customer view, monitoring dashboards, self-service analytics tools) to deliver maximum business value.

  • You will create processes that power a 360-degree customer view, unifying data from disparate systems (e.g., Salesforce Sales/Service Cloud, in-house backends, Hubspot) to enable advanced segmentation.

  • You will champion data governance and best practices, ensuring our data products are scalable, trusted, and compliant with all data privacy guidelines (e.g., GDPR) as you manage them through their full lifecycle within CRM.

  • You will serve as the principal thought partner to senior leadership translating complex business problems into clear data strategies and mentoring senior talent to raise the bar for analytics across Zalando.

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

  • Extensive (e.g., 8-10+) years of experience in Salesforce, CRM Analytics, business intelligence, with proven experience as a Senior or Principal Data Analyst (or similar role) in a data, business intelligence, or analytics-heavy environment.

  • Deep analytical expertise and a proven ability to use robust data analyses and insights to shape product strategy, validate assumptions, and measure the business value of data initiatives.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with a track record of advising and influencing executive-level leaders and building consensus between groups with conflicting agendas.

  • Demonstrable experience defining and successfully implementing enterprise-wide data governance frameworks, data quality programs, and BI process standards from the ground up.

  • Strong understanding of CRM data structures (e.g., Salesforce object models) and high-level literacy in modern data platforms, including data warehousing (e.g., BigQuery) and data processing frameworks using Databricks.
