THE ROLE & THE TEAM
The Recommerce team is responsible for building and scaling Zalando second-hand solutions. With the Pre-owned category, we offer buyers access to items in like-new conditions at Zalando’s level of convenience. With our Trade-in service, we allow sellers to declutter their wardrobe fast and risk-free from gently worn pieces they no longer wish to wear. Your contributions will be instrumental in shaping these propositions and making a significant impact in the way Zalando is planning to win in the second hand space.

As a Pricing Manager, you will play a critical role in developing and scaling our pricing capabilities for Pre-owned and Trade-in.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

  • You will work closely with the lead of Recommerce pricing, as well as Commercial and Analytics functions in Recommerce. You will be supporting them with your analytics skills on all topics related to Recommerce pricing, becoming an expert on Recommerce pricing capabilities and data, and continuously seeking new ways to leverage this expertise.

  • You will act like an owner by managing pricing daily and weekly operations and closely monitoring business performance related to pricing, proactively identifying opportunities and risks.

  • You create simple and innovative solutions to improve and scale our pricing processes, tooling and reporting for Trade-in and Pre-owned. As such are a key contributor to our commercial performance, article lifecycle management and scaling efforts as we continue to grow and refine our business model.

  • You will develop a strong understanding of customer reactions to pricing and competitor behaviour, enabling you to become a sparring partner for the lead of Recommerce pricing and  help shape the future of our pricing strategy.

  • You will join a small team in a dynamic business environment. You are comfortable with evolving priorities and are eager to learn and take on new challenges.

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

  • You have 3+ years experience in pricing, online retail, finance or related fields. Strong analytics and business acumen.

  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, you feel comfortable working with large datasets. MSTR and basic SQL is a plus.

  • Self-driven and result-oriented, you have a hands-on mentality and are comfortable with ambiguity, enjoy working independently as well as in a team.

  • Strategic thinker with a critical thinking and data-driven mindset.

  • Great communication skills, you are well structured.

  • Have a good understanding of Fashion e-commerce, customer behavior and P&L structure in a retailing environment.
