As a Senior Product Compliance Manager, you will be part of a high impact, high performing team and required to work with vigour, agility and open mind while excelling in handling product safety matters and setting compliance standards applicable to the Zalando product range with a focus on niche products like: electronics & electrical appliances and batteries, Toys, cosmetics, medical devices and food contact products.

WHAT WE'D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
● You have experience in product quality and product safety within fashion adjacent industries (electronics, sports, beauty, toys)
● Responsible for developing Zalando product safety framework for niche assortment, translating EU and local regulations into Zalando standards, policies, manuals and external communication. Promoting knowledge sharing / deliver compliance trainings internally.
● Overseeing onboarding, monitoring of product life-cycle and incident management process to ensure non-compliances identified are managed effectively striving to continuously improve compliance of electronics & electrical appliances and batteries, Toys, cosmetics, food contact products and Accessories.
● Supporting strategic initiatives, new market expansion with ability to turn complex compliance requirements into scalable processes and solutions.
● Strong Data orientation, compiling the right information and analysis to deliver the key message
● Project management skills to methodically define problems, methodically approach and deliver sustainable solutions
● You have the ability to comprehend medium to high complexity product quality assurance problems, deconstruct them, and then build smart corrective actions
WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF...
Advanced professional knowledge of European legislative requirements (e.g. GPSR, REACh, RoHS, kids safety standards, Toys Safety Directive)
Min 5 years of work experience in the retail industry in the following sectors: electronic products, PPE products, Beauty assortment.
Strong analytical, strategic and problem-solving skills with the declared intention to drive prevention focus and proven track record in project management.
Strong communicator, ability to train and deliver clear presentations
Excellent leadership skills, excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills in both written and spoken English.
Advanced knowledge of software applications in project management, word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentations as well as Google tools (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Curiosity to develop regulatory knowledge of additional product categories, markets
Quality testing or product developer in toys, sports, beauty, electronic, footwear or fashion industry is beneficial
