THE ROLE & THE TEAM

We are seeking a Principal Project Manager to join our Performance & Growth team, a pivotal area within Zalando's People & Organization department. In this individual contributor role, you will be instrumental in shaping the growth strategy for the entire Zalando group, from initial concept to full implementation. This involves leading complex, cross-functional projects that require deep expertise in the L&D and Talent Management space. You will collaborate closely with senior leaders to develop innovative solutions that directly enhance the employee experience and build the future of our learning and talent development landscape.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

  • Shape our future  Talent Development Landscape: Leverage the latest AI developments to shape the learning and development experience at Zalando, creating solutions that align with the company's strategy and provide a stellar growth experience for all employees.

  • Design and Implement Talent and L&D Solutions: You will play a central role in creating, improving, and implementing new products and solutions to equip our teams with the necessary skills and capabilities to fulfill their roles, today and in the future.

  • Lead Key Projects: You will be taking the lead on critical initiatives, overseeing them from the initial conceptual design all the way through to successful implementation.

  • Drive Strategy with Data and Insights: You will use your knowledge of the latest trends, your technical acumen and your analytical skills to conduct data analyses and benchmarks, providing strategic recommendations to ensure our Talent Development practices are at the forefront of the industry.

  • Engage with Stakeholders: You'll build strong partnerships with a wide range of internal teams, to ensure aligned and effective rollout of initiatives.

  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Collaborate with external consultants and experts to stay on top of market trends, continuously refining and evolving our approach to talent management.

 

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

  • You have proven your conceptual and solution design skills in L&D or Talent Management with minimum 5+ years experience in a consultancy or expert role within a complex, global organization.

  • You are an experienced project leader, and bring structure and execution focus into the work of diverse project teams.

  • You dispose of excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and have the ability to simplify complex problems for various stakeholder groups. 

  • Ideally you bring experience in applying Product Design principles to People-related topics.

  • You have a Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Social Studies, or a related field.

  • You have an excellent ability to engage different audiences including executive stakeholders, and communicate them in a clear, digestible way.

  • You are solution-oriented, flexible, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment.

  • You speak English fluently; additional languages are a plus.
