THE ROLE & THE TEAM
The Marketing Lead for Romania, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, Greece, and Bulgaria drives Consumer Marketing in the respective region which is a part of the CEE cluster. In this role you would be responsible for bringing the local voice and the market insights to life, driving the brand perception and contributing to the business growth in the region.
The Marketing Lead works closely together with Global and Go-To-Market Marketing and CEE Markets cross-functional teams to grow market share, customer base and improve business performance through awareness and consideration driving marketing initiatives. This includes global campaigns, local amplifications of global projects but also market specific campaigns and initiatives, developed to capture the local momentum and opportunities. Furthermore, Marketing Lead strongly contributes to the business performance in collaboration with key business units and stakeholders, specifically with the General Manager and dedicated teams in the Markets to drive the value proposition and bring the market voice to the decision table
This role is Berlin based and relocation is necessary.
WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
You will create and execute local annual marketing strategy in order to meet the business and growth objectives in respective markets
You have a sharp eye on and in-depth understanding of fashion and e-commerce environment, market’s dynamics, competitive landscape, customer insight and upcoming trends to inform the go-to-market-strategy and the wider Zalando organisation
You’ll work closely with Global Marketing Team and cross functional teams (Retail, Commercial Planning and Pricing, Business Development, PR, Corporate Communications) in order to define core audiences and tactics to win them over, driving efficiency and unlocking effectiveness by scaling best practices across the region
You collaborate in the development (e.g. informing and giving inputs) of global Marketing initiatives, planning and executing local campaign and amplifications that build on audience and market insights
You will manage the regional media budget, together with the Media Team, with the goal of maximising the effectiveness of our investment, measure marketing impact, anticipate and capitalise opportunities for growth
You develop synergies with other Markets, especially within the CEE Cluster, both by leveraging initiatives with potential relevance in markets and by scaling local activations, best practices and learnings.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF…
You have 8+ years of marketing and commercial experience, preferably in e-commerce fashion, with a proven track record of driving market share growth. You've built and executed successful marketing strategies, especially in Romania and ideally in other markets like Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, Greece, or Bulgaria.
You are fluent in Romanian and English, speaking another language from the markets above is a plus.
You are a passionate achiever with strong leadership skills able to guide and mentor team colleagues and drive healthy and inclusive teams
You are an expert on the Romanian market, and ideally, have experience in Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, Greece, or Bulgaria to win the hearts & minds of our consumers further and you can provide insights into the local competitive landscape and market trends
You have strong experience in planning and executing Regional/Country Marketing Strategy, as well as deep expertise in reaching and engaging users, audiences, and segments through a targeted value proposition and marketing strategy, applying latest insights and KPIs to strengthen the marketing position and to drive market share and revenue growth
You have a data-driven and analytical mindset with advanced ecommerce analytics tools understanding, result-oriented mentality, ability to manage different tools and collaborate with various stakeholders
You have experience in marketing budget management, end-to-end full funnel campaign execution and good track record of on campaign management, working with creative, media and influencer marketing agencies
You are experienced in getting things done in a fast-paced and ongoingly changing matrix-structured organisational environment, you are a highly reliable business partner, passionate and able to prioritise the right business needs, embrace and drive change and hunt for new solutions and improvements
You are a team player, well organised and feel comfortable steering several key projects with different stakeholders while acting as an owner & facilitator
You are a strong communicator able to manage various stakeholders effectively with high degree of critical thinking and capable of developing solutions to various business issues
