ABOUT THE ROLE
In the Platform Conformity team, our mission is to enable Zalando to achieve its growth and profitability objectives, ensuring a safe platform experience for both our partners and our customers in line with Zalando’s ethical, sustainability and quality standards.
As the Brand Protection Manager, you will support our efforts to help our brand partners protect their intellectual property, build their trust on our platform and, as a result, delight our customers with an authentic and trustworthy shopping experience.
In order to deliver this and as part of the Brand Protection team, you will support steering scalable internal processes and partner-facing solutions’ development in close collaboration with multiple teams in Zalando, including our Legal, Tech, Product Quality & Safety, and partner-facing teams.
WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
Support the Brand Protection team to deliver on the strategic agenda, coordinating the execution of key initiatives on the team’s roadmap;
Be responsible for the whole process of incoming notifications on IP infringements or unauthorised distribution, removing infringing content and resolving incidents, escalating to other involved teams; updating/creating the documentation and relevant SOPs.
Validating and documenting infringements through Zalando systems; generate analytical reports and own the internal reporting dashboards, be able to work with internal databases and tools to gather the needed information for investigations.
Continuously provide support to the Brand Protection team on new initiatives and projects, striving to improve new and existing Brand Protection processes, ensuring scalability, automation and performance tracking, and incorporation of new applicable market and legal regulations.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in a brand, eCommerce or online platform environment, being exposed to project management or compliance management topics as it will be expected from you to break down complex issues and transform them into practical recommendations and enable decision making by anticipating possible consequences.
Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Business Administration, Law, Economics
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English to lead medium-sized projects or matters, conducting assessments, reviews and/or audits, and to keep relevant documentation up to date;
Great analytical skills with an emphasis on attention to detail, the ability to create reports or prompts for the analytics team.
Great attention to detail, to flag gaps or inconsistent or superfluous regulation in our policies or processes, with a deep understanding of what needs to be regulated and why.
Strong organisational and collaboration skills; this role requires cross-functional communication and collaboration with various levels of seniority and may involve dealing with external stakeholders or institutions.
A great sense of ownership, problem-solving skills, and focus on high-quality results, as we are hoping you will understand business needs, facts and figures, and identify risks and/or legal implications in both commercial and operational contexts.
Interest in Intellectual Property law, fraud prevention.
Highest level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive/confidential information appropriately and foster the governance culture within Zalando.
Team person, as participation in discussions and events with your peers is highly appreciated, as well as supporting Interns in their journey with Zalando.
