THE ROLE & THE TEAM
Zeos by Zalando is our B2B division which is currently offering to our partners: Zalando Fulfillment Solutions (ZFS), Zalando Shipping Solutions (ZSS), Zalando Returns Solutions (ZRS) and Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF).
As the Team Lead - Operational Merchant Performance Management at ZEOS , you will be accountable for optimizing operational efficiency, reducing costs, promoting education, and ensuring a positive partner experience. You will strategically set direction and goals for the team and drive strategic initiatives aimed at improving performance and experience for our merchants. Your role involves team leadership, project management, communication, and stakeholder management. You will collaborate with multiple departments within ZEOS, ensuring smooth collaboration and alignment on goals and outcomes.
The Merchant Performance team at Zalando works collaboratively to optimize operational efficiency, reduce costs, promote education, and ensure a positive partner experience. Divided into sub-teams focusing on pre-delivery, in-house operations, outbound processes, and overarching projects, we prioritize operational excellence and strong partnerships. WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)..
As the Team Lead - Operational Merchant Performance Management at ZEOS, you will be accountable for optimizing operational efficiency for merchants, driving internal efficiency and build and mentor a great team. Here’s what you will be doing:
Optimizing Operational Efficiency: Partner with ZEOS stakeholders to map out initiatives to streamline operations for both ZEOS and our merchants. Develop, enhance and monitor evaluate key performance metrics across the merchant portfolio. Initiate cross-portfolio measures to drive improvement.
Formulating Long-Term Strategies: Collaborate with your commercial and product counterparts to craft and implement long-term plans to improve merchant performance. Surface opportunities and ensure prioritization and value capture.
Driving Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement within your department and support your team in identifying and executing on continuous improvement opportunities. Cultivate a collaborative atmosphere that encourages shared growth and long-lasting success.
Team Leadership: Build, develop and mentor a high-performing team for Merchant Operations. Set aspirational goals and clear roadmaps, while supporting the team to achieve their team and individual goals. Develop and execute training frameworks and provide coaching to the team.
Improving Internal Processes and Reporting: Drive initiatives focused on refining internal processes and reporting mechanisms, making the business more scalable and efficient.
Voice of Merchant Performance: Act as the voice of merchant performance, motivating for improved merchant performance to stakeholder teams and senior leadership.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF...
You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a partner management role.
You have experience in building and leading teams to deliver strong results with great collaborative spirit. You have a passion to help teams and individuals succeed.
You have proven experience in operations and/or supply chain, with strong capabilities in operations performance management and steering.
You have excellent English skills, both written and spoken, as English is the team’s primary language.
You are proficient in Excel and Google Sheets; experience with SQL and MSTR is a plus.
You are a team player, willing to support the team in daily business activities and collaborate effectively.
