THE ROLE & THE TEAM
As Zalando continues to adjust its logistics capabilities to meet customer expectations across Europe, the Executive Principal Network Design plays a critical role in shaping our logistics network strategy through 2030. You will define and continuously refine the end-to-end design and operating model for Zalando’s logistics network(s), aligning closely with the Zalando Group Strategy. This role will sit within the Logistics Strategy function and work across business units to future-proof our infrastructure and decision-making processes.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

  • Define and refine Zalando’s future target logistics network infrastructure and operating model through 2030, aligned with Zalando Group Strategy.

  • Design the end-to-end logistics landscape, including supply chain, delivery, and returns, across all business models and propositions.

  • Shape key investment decisions by preparing robust simulations and demonstrating potential cost and customer impacts to senior stakeholders.

  • Scope, align and oversee the delivery of strategic initiatives that enable logistics network transformation.

  • Support decisions on extending, exiting or repurposing logistics sites, including lease and operations evaluations.

  • Help build and empower a high-performing team by mentoring seasoned leaders, experts, and analysts.

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

  • You bring 5+ years of experience in logistics network design, supply chain strategy and implementation, with at least 3+ years of experience working directly with senior leadership or in top-tier consulting.

  • You have a highly analytical, systems-thinking mindset and use data to drive strategic decisions.

  • You have an academic background (Master's degree or higher) in a relevant field such as business, engineering, or operations research.

  • You are experienced in navigating complex stakeholder landscapes and driving investment decisions with clarity and confidence.

  • You demonstrate an understanding of the fashion or e-commerce logistics landscape – experience in these industries is a plus.

  • You are passionate about developing scalable operating models and enabling long-term business growth.
