THE ROLE & THE TEAM

 

As a Senior Art Director at Zalando Studios, you will lead creative projects from concept to execution, shaping the visual narrative of Zalando across multiple channels. This role requires a highly skilled and motivated individual with a proven track record in the fashion or advertising industry. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create cohesive and innovative campaigns that resonate with our global audience. Your creativity will set the standard for visual excellence while staying ahead of industry trends, especially within fashion culture.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

  • Execution of 360 campaigns for Zalando (the brand) and for our global partner brands — ensuring Zalando’s Brand & Visual Guidelines are consistently represented.

  • Able to work independently and own multiple large-scale, complex briefs from start to finish. Also able to work collaboratively with core team members to ensure your concept is realized at the highest level — including strategists, copywriters, producers, art directors, stylists, designers, editors and more.  

  • The ability to professionally navigate and manage a variety of internal and external stakeholders — including everyone from buyers, to sales teams to external clients from top global fashion brands. 

  • Maintain and develop relationships with external directors, photographers, agencies and artists to ensure the highest quality of output for our clients.

  • Strong expertise in executing campaigns within the fashion industry that are within budget and push boundaries of creativity while adhering to key KPIs. 

 

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

  • You have a degree in Design/Visual Communications, Advertising, Fashion or something similar and/or relevant industry experience. 

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in art direction from an advertising agency, fashion/beauty brand, fashion magazine or a relevant creative field. 

  • A portfolio showcasing innovative 360 campaigns for brands in the fashion/lifestyle/beauty space is a must. 

  • You have strong knowledge of relevant industry programs and mediums — Adobe (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), CaptureOne, Digital Photography and Film.

  • You have a strong interest in and knowledge of fashion and design. You are on the pulse of current fashion & social media trends, with a deep understanding of contemporary culture.  

  • You have a high visual taste level with a deep knowledge of industry trends and top tier creative work. 

  • A sharp, clear communicator with a strong ability to present creative ideas. 

  • A proactive, reliable and collaborative team player who remains professional and solution-oriented under pressure. 

  • Highly organized, able to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for quality and execution.

  • Fluent in English
