At Zalando, our FSO pillar within the Group Tax - VAT Reporting Team is at the heart of managing end-to-end global indirect tax reporting obligations. We ensure seamless compliance by overseeing VAT returns, SAF-T, ECSL, Intrastat, and more. Our work extends beyond reporting—we actively manage VAT audits, optimize VAT accounting, and collaborate with key stakeholders in tech, accounting, and finance to shape the future of indirect tax reporting.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
You will support the country managers in the day-to-day operations of the business which allows you to gain valuable insights in the area of VAT reporting that is directly transferable to industry-relevant experience.
You will collaborate with the Tax advisory, Treasury, Accounting, logistics, and tech units which would help gain insights into interfaces with stakeholders.
In projects, you will support the experts in testing solutions and implementing them.
You will help improvise the existing business processes and assist in the VAT-compliant mapping of new business processes.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
Bachelors/Master's degree in Tax, Law, or Accounting.
Basic knowledge of Value added tax and practical experience preferably in the field of Tax/Accounting/Finance as well as a great interest in approaching this topic step by step with us
Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Workspace, SAP knowledge is also desirable
Fluent in English. German or any other European language is a plus.
