THE ROLE AND THE TEAM

The Master Data Management team within Finance Operations is responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and integrity of finance master data. This team plays a crucial role in supporting various finance processes and initiatives across the organization. We are a growing team driving the transformation and integration of a robust Data/Finance environment. We are committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

The Finance Master Data Continuous Improvement Manager will lead initiatives to optimize and enhance finance master data processes. This role focuses on identifying inefficiencies, implementing process improvements, and driving automation to ensure data quality and operational efficiency. The manager will work closely with various stakeholders to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

  • Identify and analyze areas for process improvement within finance master data management.

  • Ideate and drive development and implementation of process optimization and automation solutions.

  • Lead continuous improvement projects using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or other relevant frameworks.

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track process performance and identify improvement opportunities.

  • Collaborate with Finance, Technology, and other departments to understand business requirements and translate them into process improvements.

  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process maps.

  • Facilitate workshops and brainstorming sessions to gather input and generate ideas for process improvements.

  • Support the implementation of technology solutions to automate and streamline master data processes.

  • Provide training and support to team members on new processes and tools.

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the Master Data Management team.

  • Participate in cross-departmental projects, focusing on process efficiency.

  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and internal controls requirements related to master data.

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in process improvement, operational excellence, or a similar role.

  • Strong understanding of finance processes and data requirements.

  • Experience with master data management systems, preferably SAP.

  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to lead and facilitate workshops and meetings.

  • Project management skills are a plus.

  • Experience with automation tools and technologies is a plus.

  • Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices.
