THE ROLE & THE TEAM
The Product Safety Manager will be responsible for all legal chemical & physical testing/product compliance procedures for our private label brands, coordinating several sourcing offices and suppliers worldwide.

WHY YOU SHOULD BE INTERESTED
Product Safety Strategy and implementation for product and materials/components (apparel, shoes & accessories), following the translation of EU and local regulations into own standards and policies.
Evolve the Testing strategy from final product testing to smart material testing
Develop more efficient process & work flows to achieve higher bottom-line results and assign KPIs to it.
Coordinating Testing/Product Compliance operational daily tasks worldwide (Asia & Europe).
Supporting budget planning and being responsible for efficient utilisation of resources.
Responsible for the correct risk assessment of our customer complaints and deciding on actions in case of main issues (e.g. product recalls) in collaboration with the legal and risk management team.
Responsible for the correct alignment across the sourcing offices and team members, Product Teams and our Quality Management Team, creating regular reports and information exchange with main stakeholders (i.e. suppliers, offshore offices, sourcing teams, Ethical Trade, product teams and other stakeholders).
Owner of different Testing projects and KPIs, ensuring that you achieve the targets.
Setting up monitoring/reporting (including KPI tracking) for own area and reports to team lead autonomously.
WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
Chemical studies or Fashion Engineer, Studies in garment/shoe/accessories technology or equivalent education.
5-8 years relevant international experience in the textile/shoe/accessories industry.
Excellent analytical, strategic and problem-solving skills.
Decision-maker personality with pragmatic approach.
Very strong in self-management with a distinct entrepreneurial mindset.
Very strong in Stakeholder Management and Communication.
Ability to cope with a rapidly changing environment, combined with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Self-motivated, self-dependent and proactive.
