THE ROLE & THE TEAM 

As a Business Analyst in our Supply Analytics team within Lounge by Zalando, you will collaborate closely with the Supply team and leadership to drive our vision of acquiring unmatched value-for-money deals that enhance Lounge user acquisition, conversion, and retention. 

In this role, you will build on your analytical and statistical skills to create actionable business insights enabling smarter decision-making. You will lead and implement initiatives to develop sustainable reporting solutions and generate data-driven business insights focused on our supply procurement processes and review-and-learn capabilities. You will actively partner with cross-functional stakeholders by sharing relevant information and context, based on relevant KPIs you report on, analyse, track and embed in our business landscape. To succeed in this role you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

  • Develop a strong understanding of business processes, tools, and the overall data landscape to build, implement, and operationalize reports and data models for Lounge’s Purchases and inventory.

  • Collaborate with relevant technology and data teams across Zalando, ensuring optimal use of existing datasets and enabling the consumption of viable and relevant data points.

  • Be responsible for all aspects of data availability, consistency, and quality of the data into and within the reports that you build and maintain.

  • Independently drive alignments and do all necessary analysis for procurement and performance metrics.

WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

  • You have experience with data modeling and data design, and possess an understanding of creating data sources in BI tools, with good knowledge of SQL; you can work autonomously using these tools.

  • You have at least 2 years of experience with Tableau or a similar BI tool. 

  • You have worked on impactful projects and possess domain expertise in commercial planning, procurement, inventory, sales, or category controlling.

  • You are recognized for your willingness to make an impact, ability to spot inefficiencies and make improvements with a hands-on mentality, finding simple, efficient solutions to challenges, and your proactive nature, adapting quickly to changes while remaining focused on key objectives.

  • You balance technical acumen with business understanding, excel in stakeholder collaboration, and communicate insights clearly and engagingly.

  • You have an educational background in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Informatics, or a similar quantitative field, with 2+ years of professional experience in a similar role, ideally in a fast-paced (e-commerce) retail environment; knowledge of statistical methods is a plus.
