THE ROLE & THE TEAM
Join our team responsible for managing critical products essential to Zalando's continuous growth in the Size & Fit area. Collaborate with fashion experts, product managers, analysts, engineers, and applied scientists to tackle some of the most complex challenges in the fashion industry.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to enhance our customers' experience by enabling them to find the right size and fit on their first attempt, through collaborating with our partners and internal teams. You will drive foundational work in the fit space, ensuring seamless interaction among different products and a deep understanding of their relation to our assortment and customer mix. This will require a strong alignment with our Supply, Partners and internal teams to elevate the interaction between our size and fit advice products and our assortment.
Moreover, you will be able to influence the development of mechanisms for acquiring quality data and support partners and internal teams in making informed size and fit decisions throughout the customer journey and assortment lifecycle.
ABOUT SIZE & FIT
At Zalando we deeply understand that Size and Fit Matters, and are excited to use our unique and huge article and customer datasets to tackle this challenge using novel deep learning and computer vision techniques. You will join our multi-disciplinary Berlin or Zurich based Size and Fit Org., composed of product managers, applied scientists, engineers, product analysts and full stack developers from +20 different nationalities.
We have great problems to solve, a huge customer base to impact and are a team that loves to have fun. Size and Fit is a human topic. We use machines to help solve our customers’ challenges. But we never forget - size and fit success is defined by how customers feel when they wear fashion.
WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
You'll use a highly-customer-centric and analytical mindset to build a compelling vision of the future. Work backwards from this vision to construct a narrative for how we’ll solve customer problems and realise Zalando’s opportunities
You'll provide easy-to-understand solutions to multi-faceted and complex problems based on an in-depth understanding of relevant data and analysis techniques
You'll backup your intuition, ideas and decisions through data-driven insights, a high degree of customer empathy and a thorough understanding of market specific trends and customer behaviour
You'll define priorities and drive actions to achieve goals with guidance from your stakeholders
You'll collaborate with multi stakeholders across different disciplines such as applied science, engineering, product design, analytics, business as well as other disciplines across the company and become a trusted sparring partner to the team members of the different disciplines
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF YOU
Have 8+ years of experience in Product Management and preferably data driven products. Experience working with products related to fashion development or in the fashion industry is a plus.
Have a track record of building and launching ML-based products that achieved a measurable impact.
Maximise medium- to long-term impact with available resources based on understanding the company's strategy, commercial KPIs and how your own domain impacts these.
Identify the biggest opportunities and optimal solutions fast and reliably. You enjoy driving continuous improvement and innovation on product and team level.
Demonstrated expertise in solving complex problems at scale and in navigating through uncertainties along the way through all phases of discovery, definition, design, and delivery
Bring a track record of delivering products that require deep understanding of trade-offs between usability, technical and operational feasibility, market readiness, and business constraints
Have solid experience in measuring the success of your products across large scale releases to continuously iterate and improve them for the benefit of our customers
Have the ability to write documents and clearly communicate in simple and easy to understand language for a broad audience, including senior management, and colleagues across the organisation from within and outside the Size & Fit
Have a passion for solving overarching industry problems and creating impactful solutions
