We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity to join our team as the Head of Partner Consultancy. ZMS empowers brands and advertisers to achieve their goals through a comprehensive portfolio of marketing services built on deep consumer insights and a unique fashion context. Our fully integrated media approach spans creative production, marketing strategies, and diverse media channels, including Zalando’s website and app, social platforms, influencer activations, digital placements, and large-scale campaigns such as events, PR, Out of Home, and Addressable TV.

In line with our focus on specific customer and assortment types, ZMS has dedicated teams for Streetwear, Sports, Premium, Modern, Young Fashion, and Kids. 

As part of the ZMS Commercial organization, you will drive business growth for the selected partner portfolio, contributing to ambitious growth targets and shaping the future of marketing at Zalando. Partner Management serves as the key interface between our partners and ZMS, delivering consulting, selling, planning, and executing marketing strategies across various business models and sales channels.

In this role, you will lead two teams (Partner Consultancy and Partner Success) and represent the portfolio within ZMS, driving initiatives and strategies aligned with the overall vision. By collaborating closely with partners, team members, and stakeholders, you will foster innovative business opportunities and contribute to ZMS’ long-term strategy while ensuring the delivery of impactful marketing services that achieve target expectations and strategic goals.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

  • Take ownership for assigned business cases including forecasting, planning and steering relevant KPIs as well as the creation of tailored strategies to achieve set goals and drive long term business growth. 

  • Enable vision across ZMS PC teams (within and outside of your reporting line) and drive close alignment with respective senior business leaders across the organization to ensure constant progression and development in line with business strategies of Zalando / ZMS. 

  • Together with your team and stakeholders, you will develop and foster productive business relationships, manage client projects, and ensure the overall service and profitability of assigned accounts in line with Group Strategy. 

  • Lead, inspire and develop your teams by providing functional and business expertise, fostering a collaborative and empowering work environment.

  • Establish and improve efficient and effective processes and steering mechanisms to optimize the PC team's performance and to identify trends and business opportunities.

  • Build a high-performance sales culture through people development and enablement as well as the definition of impactful measures that generate traction within the defined partner portfolio. 

  • Based on your interaction with partners and broad understanding of marketing / e-commerce you contribute to the definition of quantitative and qualitative goals as well as the creation of strategic plans that contribute to the short and long term development of ZMS business and product offering. 

  • You define, plan and lead on bespoke projects that promote new and innovative marketing services and pioneer new ways of collaboration with externals and internals. 

  • Travel: Be willing to travel occasionally as required for work assignments.

WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF...

  • Experience: More than 9 years of experience in online marketing sales, preferably with a background in fashion- or lifestyle industry, recent management of partner facing teams

  • Team Leadership: Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams with a passion for growing talent and achieving set business goals. 

  • Online Advertising Expertise: Solid understanding of online marketing business including typical campaign flows, technical aspects, KPI interpretation as well as enthusiasm for the online advertising landscape and a curiosity for emerging trends.

  • Customer Focus: Customer-centric approach with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively at a senior management level. 

  • Strategic Thinking & Stakeholder Management: Track record in building actions plans and strategies, driving innovation and shaping structures that support the growth of assigned business areas in close collaboration with an extensive stakeholder network (internally and externally). 

  • Cross-functional work experience is a must; you understand different key areas of the business such as  Finance, Analytics, e-commerce,marketing, tech teams. 

  • Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.

  • Good organizational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.

  • Strong relationship/client manager proven background
