The Senior FP&A Manager role is an integral part of the Group FP&A team which ensures company-wide value creation based on Zalando's long-term strategy and goals. Your role will be to lead planning and forecasting, refine processes, and deliver actionable insights to senior leadership, including the executive team.
The role demands strong financial modeling, project management, and data analysis skills, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively across teams to optimize planning frameworks. We are looking for a motivated self-starter with proven analytical skills, strong corporate finance and quantitative skills and keen interest in Zalando’s business. WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
You’ll be driving and maintaining financial forecasts, encompassing monthly, quarterly, annual budgets, and long-term strategic plans (e.g., 5-year plans).
You’ll oversee the execution of FP&A strategies, including project management, digital transformation, tool implementation, and the development of initiatives like KPI dashboards.
You’ll take a group perspective to challenge business leaders and finance partners, while providing recommendations, and driving actions based on financial analysis.
You’ll ensure the accuracy and quality of planning and reporting data, collaborating with business and finance stakeholders to foster continuous improvement.
You’ll enhance FP&A process management to foster effective partnerships between finance and business, focusing on innovation, reducing manual tasks, and resolving inefficiencies.
You’ll manage work streams independently and lead projects in Finance Performance Management, also with a cross-functional focus.
You’ll independently build tailored financial models and analyses that drive insights and support specific management recommendations regarding unique business issues on an ad-hoc basis.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
You have a degree (Bachelor, Master, MBA) in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or an equivalent field along with 5+ years of relevant professional experience.

You come with advanced financial modelling and data analysis skills, with proficiency in Excel and Google Suite and experience using financial planning tools.
You possess strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and deliver results under tight deadlines.
You have excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience in engaging stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives.
You convince with the ability to synthesize complex data and strategies into clear, actionable insights and compelling presentations.
You stand out with your strategic mindset with a focus on driving process improvements, enhancing forecasting accuracy, and optimizing financial planning frameworks.
You come with a proven ability to excel in fast-paced and evolving environments, effectively managing multiple priorities while maintaining a keen eye for detail.
