As a Buyer in Modern Heritage you will be part of a high performing and driven team! You will work alongside the unit lead to develop innovative and strategic solutions for your brand portfolio. You’ll be handling various strategic brands, overseeing the full assortment selection, negotiations as well as development. You are passionate about the fashion industry with all different angles. You have strong analytical skills and customer driven mindset to develop appealing assortments that will attract new customers and excite existing ones. You enjoy team leadership and people development, as you will oversee a team with two team members from.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
As Buyer you shape the mid and long term strategy of your specific portfolio, taking into account the Zalando strategy, your customer profile, trends and competitive landscape. You are fluent in commanding your KPIs and role model collaboration with the senior merchandiser, steering the seasonal budget and OTB to monitor the performance of your unit and take action accordingly
You will be responsible for the creative direction of your brands on a seasonal basis, bringing with your entrepreneurial mindset exclusive ranges and collaborations to live that are best in class
You drive key partner strategy and have direct ownership for top accounts in your portfolio, directing the acquisition of new brands, negotiating the best terms for Zalando and identifying all levers for growth. You will manage key strategic brands and relationships across both wholesale and platform business models
You will work cross-functionally to drive sales and maximise profit and exchanging with other departments like Content, Logistics, Marketing and Production are key to your work, ensuring that we act in line with the whole organisation
Through your buying expertise, you support your unit lead in coaching and training more junior team members and help them develop their skill set
WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF ...
Degree in business, economics or fashion management and 4+ years professional
experience in experience in working for a fast paced e-commerce retailing business working within an international multi brand environment, it’s a plus if you bring experience from the KIDS industry
A strong leader who is passionate about developing people, guiding their career and acting as a role model for the wider women textile buying team
Your excellent analytical skills put you on top of the class and you love working with numbers to validate your gut instinct buying decisions and take risks to achieve your unit plan
Negotiation skill set, you have mastered both written and spoken negotiation. You display strong stakeholder and relationship management skills, both with internal and external stakeholders
Clear knowledge and understanding of both the young fashion brand landscape
within Europe, including platform and marketplace models
A passion for Lifestyle & Streetwear trends and fashion is crucial with an understanding of how this links to the markets within Europe.
