THE ROLE AND THE TEAM
As the Lead of People Tech Talent Solutions, you will be responsible for leading a team of Tech and Workday experts who specialise in Workday Recruiting, Workday Learning, Workday Talent & Performance, and cross functional work within other Workday Modules and technologies. You will serve as a lead expert in Workday and third-party integrations. Your role will involve leading and mentoring the team, managing escalations, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders, particularly within the People & Organization (P&O) function and other colleagues in the Zalando Technology Foundation.
Additionally you will be responsible for service delivery and oversee the delivery of our incident and demand management solutions and coordinate the efforts of different People technologies pillars to ensure that services are delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
Monitoring service performance. Ensuring compliance with service level agreements: responsible for ensuring that service level agreements are met, and that the services provided meet the required quality standards.

Leadership & Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Workday experts, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Provide guidance and direction on complex Workday configurations and solutions.
Drive team performance by setting clear goals, providing regular feedback, and supporting professional development.
Act as the first level of escalation for team members, resolving issues and providing support as needed.
Workday Expertise:
Serve as the subject matter expert in Workday ensuring best practices are followed.
Lead complex Workday configuration projects, including the design, development, and implementation of solutions.
Manage and optimize Workday integrations to ensure seamless operation and data flow.
Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, particularly within Zalando Technology Foundation and the P&O function, understanding their needs and providing standard Workday solutions.
Act as a trusted advisor, effectively communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Invest heavily in stakeholder management, ensuring alignment and buy-in for solutions across the organization.
Project Management:
Oversee and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure Workday solutions are aligned with overall business goals.
Ensure documentation, training, and knowledge transfer processes are in place and adhered to.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and optimization within the Workday ecosystem.
Stay up-to-date with the latest Workday releases and features, implementing new functionalities where appropriate.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience working with Workday, including extensive experience in Workday Recruiting, Workday Learning, Workday Talent & Performance, and Workday Adaptive.
Proven experience leading and managing a team of Workday experts.
Strong expertise in Workday configurations, Workday Studio, and third-party integrations.
Experience in stakeholder management, particularly within IT and P&O functions.
ITIL Knowlege
Skills:
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
Project management skills with a track record of delivering successful Workday projects.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
Workday Certification in one or more modules (e.g., Recruiting, Learning, Talent & Performance, Adaptive Planning).
Experience in a global or multinational organisation.
Strong understanding of HR processes and best practices.
