Zalando’s Inspiration and Entertainment venture is seeking a strategic and data-driven Senior Content Experimentation Manager - Entertainment Programming to lead innovative content experimentation across our Entertainment initiatives. The new Entertainment Programming team will focus on embracing the future of online retail, where every click unveils a new chapter in its evolution.
This role offers the chance to shape Zalando’s content future, bridging our Creator Ecosystem with cross-functional tools and initiatives that seamlessly integrate inspiration and entertainment into the shopping journey for fashion, beauty, and lifestyle enthusiasts.
As a driving force in creator adoption and engagement, you will empower creators with cutting-edge tools that support them in producing compelling content. Collaborating across diverse teams, creator management, brand partnerships, editorial, product marketing, and content innovation, you’ll foster an environment where creators can thrive and deliver engaging content.
In this role, you’ll lead experimentation initiatives across content formats, focusing on metrics that reveal true engagement. Your insights will be key to refining our content strategy, ensuring alignment with broader goals and maximising impact. Your mission is to support the development of best-in-class strategies, tools and experiences that equip creators for success, nurturing content growth and engagement across multiple markets and establishing a vibrant creator community within the Zalando ecosystem.
WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING):
Creator Engagement & Retention: Support the development and implementation of strategies for onboarding, retaining, and supporting content creators across multiple markets. Ensure that they are fully equipped to succeed and grow within the Zalando ecosystem.
Lead Content Experimentation: Manage experiments to evaluate the impact of various content formats, authors, sources, and themes, ensuring the experiments align with Zalando’s strategic goals for audience engagement.
Data-Driven Optimization: Collaborate with product and analytics teams to analyse user, creator, and content data, deriving actionable insights that inform and support the Entertainment Programming Team. Play a crucial role in continuously refining the content mix to enhance its effectiveness in capturing and retaining audience attention
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across content innovation, creator management, creator tooling, and product marketing to integrate experimentation outcomes into broader strategies.
Establish and Maintain Testing Frameworks: Manage scalable frameworks for ongoing experimentation and ensure clear methodologies are in place to evaluate content success accurately.
Guide and Report on Experiment Outcomes: Track and report on key metrics from experiments, providing insights and recommendations to stakeholders for informed decision-making.
Provide Continuous Feedback: Act as a key liaison between creators and internal teams, establish processes for providing feedback on creator needs, content trends, and potential improvements to workflows and tools.
Build Scalable Workflows: Establish scalable and sustainable processes for creator experiments, reporting and content supply that can be implemented across multiple markets.
Support Content Innovation: Contribute to identifying new content formats and themes, helping shape a distinctive, data-informed entertainment strategy that resonates with our target audience.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF:
You have a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in digital or media environments (experience in fashion, beauty, and lifestyle is a plus). You have successfully worked within the creator content ecosystem, supporting content growth and impact in the digital landscape. Additionally, you bring expertise in managing content experimentation, with the ability to set up, execute, and analyse content experiments, identify growth opportunities, and build meaningful relationships that drive success for both creators and the platform.
You excel at cross-functional collaboration: You work comfortably with diverse teams across functions, uniting stakeholders to align on goals and share outcomes that drive the broader content strategy. Your collaborative approach ensures cohesive, impactful results that advance cross-functional initiatives.
You are organised, detail-oriented, and an effective communicator: Your project management and communication skills enable you to structure and maintain complex content experimentation initiatives, clearly defining timelines, goals, and resources while ensuring alignment and transparency among all stakeholders.
You’re data-savvy with a strategic mindset: You’re skilled in interpreting data, drawing actionable insights, and leveraging them to inform content strategy and experimentation, with experience in content metrics.
You thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, managing multiple projects with different stakeholders: You are comfortable working in dynamic settings, balancing various priorities and coordinating across teams. Your ability to manage complexity and maintain focus ensures that projects are delivered on time while aligning with overall goals.
You are passionate about content innovation: You stay ahead of trends, experimenting with fresh ways to captivate and engage audiences. You thrive on creating inspiring experiences and enjoy partnering with internal teams to elevate the audience experience.
You have a strong understanding of creator ecosystems and the tools and processes that enable creator success: You are well-versed in the infrastructure that supports creators, and can leverage data-driven insights to optimise their workflow. You know what tools, platforms, and support systems are needed to help creators thrive and scale their impact.
