THE ROLE & THE TEAM 

As a Senior Product Manager in the Zalando’s Warehouse Management System team, you will become an expert in Warehouse Logistics and have end-to-end ownership of discovering, defining, launching and improving world-class solutions for Zalando’s 50 MM+ customers. This role is specifically focused on Warehouse Picking, which is responsible for the process of order picking, i.e., hand-out of work to the operators and maximising the efficiency and ease of use for our warehouse operators. As a Senior Product Manager, you will be the partner for other teams, including product design, data analysts, process excellence and software engineers.

WHAT WE'D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

  • End-to-end ownership for the Warehouse Picking product area. You’ll drive the execution of the multi-year product strategy hands-on: from product requirements to KPI tracking and reporting ​

  • With the help of Product Design, Analytics, Applied Science and the Process Excellence team, you will develop new and more effective ways of picking items for customer and non-customer orders for timely & cost-efficient fulfilment

  • As an analytical, pragmatic system-thinker, you’ll prioritize the roadmap basing your arguments on insights derived from qualitative and quantitative data 

  • Running at-a-warehouse interviews, tests, and launches to ensure we’re building the right impact on the daily work of hundreds of employees in our fulfilment network

WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF...

  • You are a data-driven and highly collaborative Product Manager with at least 3 years of experience in Product Management.

  • You have experience in one of the following domains: logistics, supply chain, warehouses, delivery of any type and employee-facing applications.

  • You have the willingness to dive deep into Logistics, operational challenges and productivity-driven products.

  • You have the analytical skills to break down operational problems with the help of statistics, mathematics, and engineering along with competitive insights to derive sound product recommendations. 

  • You are proficient in English (written & spoken).

  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work across multiple teams and to involve various stakeholders on different levels proactively.

  • A growth mindset, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing business conditions, working to establish a continuous improvement culture whilst providing the team the stability they need to be productive. 

  • You have experience working with engineering teams, steering product direction from discovery to delivery.
