THE ROLE AND THE TEAM
As the team “Endpoint Management” of the Zalando Technology Foundation, we are managing an heterogeneous client environment (Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android) including the software portfolio. We ensureperformance, availability and usability. As a dynamic and technology-driven team we are constantly improving our solutions and dive deep into the business to identify the needs of our colleagues and build smart workplace solutions. Problem analysis and customer support belongs to our daily business as well.
WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
- You will design and optimise our macOS client product
You will administer and develop further our deployment and enrollment tools (Jamf Pro & MS Intune) of our Managed Mac Client environment (>4000 Devices).
Taking care of updates and upgrades (OS & other software products), giving internal workshops and training, fulfilling troubleshooting for 2nd/3rd level support cases in close collaboration with the service units colleagues.
Ensure availability, stability and performance in our virtual infrastructure. Support the creation of technical documentation e.g. HowTos and workarounds.
Work closely together with the employees and stakeholders to identify business needs and requirements and create smart solutions to improve the workplace experience.
Be able to communicate big changes and “feed” the community
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
- You have at least 5 years of experience with managing macOS environments.
- Proficiency in Python/zsh or similar programming/scripting languages
- Experience with REST API/Graph API (preferred)
- You are able to use your knowledge and your experience to analyse and develop solutions in a professional and target oriented way.
- You are flexible, service oriented, willing to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends.
- You have great communication and cooperation skills and like to work within a motivated and independent Team.
- Knowledge in relevant AWS services and/or Kubernetes experience is a plus
- Basic knowledge of Git
- Debugging skills between Client and Management System is a must
- Deep knowledge and understanding of macOS
- Ubuntu and Apache/Load Balancing knowledge is a plus
