WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

The Role:

As a Commercial Development Manager at ZMS, you will play a critical role in creating and managing high-impact strategic partner opportunities. This position involves strategic consulting of several client-facing sales teams, optimising commercial steering processes, managing optimization projects and supporting the execution of ZMS commercial strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Partner Opportunity Creation: You will identify, develop and manage commercial partner opportunities, focusing on strategic high-impact events for our brand partners to support ZMS business objectives (e.g. creating an dedicated offering for commercial/cultural moments like cyberweek, valentines day or back to school). This will include performing data analysis on past events, defining incentives aimed at managed service and self-service clients and building a storyline out of this for pitch decks.

Strategic Consulting of client-facing sales teams: You provide strategic consultation to multiple client-facing sales teams, helping them achieve their business goals through recommending and guiding the utilisation of the right partner opportunities of the Commercial Development team. You will monitor the business performance in your portfolios, identify points for optimization, and derive commercial recommendations to close performance gaps through partner opportunities from the Commercial Development Team. Your insights and recommendations will be shared with the Partner Consultancy Leadership of your assigned portfolios on a regular basis. 

Commercial Steering: You will develop and optimise the process for steering Commercial Development’s partner opportunities with the support of your lead. This includes ensuring the partner opportunities full potential is utilised across portfolios, as well as ensuring the forecasting, tracking and reporting is accurate and actionable.

Project Management: You will autonomously manage project teams ensuring a high level of both internal and external stakeholder expectation management. You will do this by determining project critical paths, transparent accountability of tasks, and creating clear communication channels to achieve successful results and on-time delivery.

Cross-functional Collaboration: You will work closely within cross-functional teams ranging from Partner Consultants, over Media and Creative Managers to Marketing Managers. You are able to build and maintain strong relationships with your stakeholders. 

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

  • You have gained 2-3 years of work experience in commercial / business development, consulting, retail media marketing, account management, sales, or related fields. A background in a digital, e-commerce, fashion or retail media environment can be a plus.

  • You pair your analytical and problem-solving capabilities with your strategic mindset and your ability to dig deep into the details (e.g. commercial steering), but also elevate and see the helicopter-view perspective, to connect the dots and identify unrealised business opportunities (e.g. new strategic partner opportunities for your portfolios).

  • You have strong technical skills in Excel / Google Sheets.

  • You use project management skills to effectively drive projects and build alliances, leveraging strong communication to lead cross-functional teams across the organisation.

  • You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects/processes simultaneously.

  • You possess a winning mentality and are a natural collaborator who thrives in fast-paced, high-performance teams through a positive attitude and willingness to coach and to learn. 

  • You are experienced in managing high value stakeholder relationships, executing complex marketing activities and driving strategic learning agendas.

  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English - you are confident in interacting and presenting independently at a senior management level.
