THE ROLE & THE TEAM
In your role as Principal Sustainability Engineer, you will spearhead initiatives focused on reducing energy consumption and carbon footprint for Zalando’s Logistics building technology. Additionally, you will lead projects that have multiple complex dependencies and require you to leverage your expertise to drive impactful and innovative solutions that ensure that Zalando meets our sustainability goals.
You will collaborate, support and also challenge expert individuals and teams across Zalando Logistics including Facility Management, Central Sustainability, Product Management, Construction and others.
You will be an integral member of a small, highly specialised sustainability engineering team, working collaboratively with the broader Logistics Sustainability team. Together, you will drive high priority projects to achieve our sustainability goals and enable positive environmental impact across Zalando’s operations.

WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
You have a Master's degree in (Regenerative) Energies & Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or related cross-functional engineering fields such as Aerospace Engineering.
You have a diverse skill set and proven track record of technical upskilling that enables you to tackle multifaceted challenges and drive innovation across various domains.
If you're driven by curiosity and a passion for continuous learning.
You have proven analytical skills, preparing you to conduct complex calculations within multifactor environments
You have excellent communication skills in German and English.
You’re proficient in using software such as CAD software (AutoCAD) and SQL databases.
Preferably you have already gained experience as a Planning engineer for building technology.
