THE ROLE & THE TEAM
As a Senior Advisor - Accounts Receivable Management, you will work on best in class B2C accounts receivable and payment accounting processes for all Zalando markets and businesses (e.g. Zalando Shop, Lounge, etc.). In particular, you will shape and innovate accounts receivable monitoring processes.
Together with a strong team, you will work on optimising operational processes related to B2C accounts receivable for all payment methods and markets covered by Zalando Payments GmbH, as well as realizing projects towards Zalando Payments’ strategy. You will work closely with Central Finance, Product, Operations and various Technology Teams.

WHY YOU SHOULD BE INTERESTED…
You’ll be responsible for accounting related processes in the accounts receivable B2C environment and continuously develop and improve our financial processes with regard to content, risk management, consistency, efficiency and technical implementation.
You’ll be responsible for accounting areas specific to accounts receivable management including B2C receivables topics such as open receivables analysis, accruals, payments clearing, as well as associated financial reporting, process improvements and automation.
You’ll be responsible for implementation of KPI monitoring through creation of associated reports and dashboards.
You’ll support projects from the accounting side and implement and integrate new business processes and technical solutions (e.g. processes like Factoring, technical solutions like SAP S4Hana).
You’ll be the point of contact for all stakeholders at Treasury, Central Finance, Tax, Controlling, Risk & Governance, Product and Technology teams.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF…
You successfully completed a university degree in business administration with a focus on accounting and auditing or a comparable degree.
You have a min. of 5 years professional experience, ideally in the area of accounts receivable / accounting of an e-commerce company, auditing company, audit-related consulting company.
You have experience with ERP systems (SAP S4 - FI CA or FI AR is a plus).
You have experience with business analytics tools (SAP Analytics Cloud or Tableau is a plus).
You have experience with technical implementation projects related to financial processes.
You like to take over responsibility and drive your own topics working in a structured way, setting high standards to deliver optimal results.
You are comfortable working with large sets of data to prepare analysis and overviews.
You have great communication skills in English (German is a plus) which you will utilise for cooperation in your projects and optimisation of internal processes.
