As a Marketing Team Lead for Denmark, part of the Nordics & Benelux cluster, drives Consumer Marketing in the respective region. In this role you are responsible to bring the local voice and the market insights to life, to drive the value proposition, brand perception and growth in the region. 

You will be the owner of Brand Marketing for your country. You work within the Marketing Function, in the local GoToMarketMarketing (GTMM) teams. You will oversee and run all marketing activities to drive brand awareness and consideration, yet traffic to our site and position Zalando as the starting point for fashion. 

This role is Berlin based and relocation is necessary. 

WHY YOU SHOULD BE INTERESTED… 

  • The Marketing Team Lead Denmark works closely together with the Nordic teams to grow market share through awareness and consideration driving Marketing initiatives. This includes local amplifications of global initiatives as well as market specific initiatives, developed to capture the local momentum and opportunities. 

  • Lead the Marketing Team to execute the Annual Marketing Strategy, in order to meet the business and growth objectives in the market. 

  • Have a sharp eye on and in-depth understanding of the market’s dynamics and upcoming trends to inform the go-to-market-strategy and the wider Zalando organisation. Unlock effectiveness and efficiency wins by scaling best practices across the region. 

  • Work closely together in a cross functional team to define core audiences and how to win them over, driving brand perception. 

  • Collaborate in the development (e.g. informing and giving inputs) of global Marketing initiatives, planning and executing local amplifications that build on audience and market insights. 

  • You will be responsible for all brand marketing activities in Denmark with full budget ownership across upper & mid funnel channels 

  • You will set up and implement country-specific marketing strategies and define a campaign calendar in conjunction with our retail activities and the global campaign plan 

  • You will own and manage media buying and planning in the region in close cooperation with our media team, media partners and agencies 

  • You will own and execute Zalando’s global campaigns in Denmark, defining timing and investments and adapting them to local needs 

  • You will brief, set up and run local campaigns, events and activations to increase Zalando’s relevancy in Denmark 

  • You will own influencer & content marketing activities in market 

  • You will lead the marketing manager, consisting of 1-2 direct reports, plus influencer agencies and dotted lines to media & pr, oversee the activities of a broader team

  • You will work closely with local agencies, ranging from creative agencies, media agencies, influencer agencies, to language service providers in your market

  • You will also work in collaboration with the full Nordics & Benelux Market team, to ensure your marketing plans are creating positive impact on the business

  • Lead the business in the market in strong collaboration with key business units and stakeholders, specifically with the General Manager and dedicated teams in the Markets to drive the value proposition and bring the market voice to the decision table. 

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF… 

  • You have a Degree in business or a marketing related field. 

  • You have a minimum of 8+ years of experience in Marketing, Media, Retail, Business development, Strategy. FMCG, Beauty, Consumer Products or eCommerce experience are a plus. 

  • On top of that, your English language skills are excellent, proficient command of the Danish language is also required. 

  • You bring a strong expertise in the Danish market, strong media understanding and passion for great creativity 

  • You have experience executing and planning Regional/Country Marketing Strategy. Deep expertise in reaching and engaging users, audiences, and segments through a targeted value proposition and marketing strategy, applying latest insights and KPIs to strengthen the marketing position and to drive market share growth and revenue. 

  • You have previous leadership experience and are a strong team player who can motivate others and is solution oriented 

  • You have the ability to steer and influence both internal and external stakeholders, resolving issues and working across all functional areas is key in this role

  • You are a performance driven, strategic thinker that has excellent project management and analytical skills (proficient with Google suite, MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint) 

  • You are a strong communicator - able to manage various stakeholders effectively. Drive and build healthy inclusive teams promoting diversity.
