One of the main drivers for conversion in online retail is the delivery promise, informing fashion customers about when they can expect their shipment to arrive. Our team owns the predictions of processing times for all the paths in the complex fulfillment network on which this delivery promise is based. Improving the precision of these predictions has a huge impact on customer satisfaction, allows better fulfillment planning, and enables the business to make better-informed tradeoff decisions.
The Network Behavior team is composed of software engineers and applied scientists. Applied scientists design, train, extend, and continuously improve prediction models based on features extracted from diverse datasets produced by high-throughput systems, while software engineers are responsible for building best in class services and infrastructure for experimentation and applying these models in production. In your role as Engineering Manager, you will lead the team and collaborate closely with product management as well as other teams, contributors and stakeholders.

Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a diverse team of engineers and applied scientists, nurturing their professional growth, and helping them to navigate the complex domain and problem space.
Partner closely with product managers and individual contributors such as Principal Engineers and Principal Applied Scientists to form and execute on technical vision for the team that supports diverse business initiatives as well as the needs of applied research.
Oversee the end-to-end software development life cycle and establish and evolve a workflow that suits the needs of software engineering, data engineering, and applied science alike.

Foster a collaborative and inclusive culture that values open communication, knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and work-life balance.
Managing the delivery of cross team projects.
Maintain a broad view of the department's domain, architecture, and strategy, as well as industry trends.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
You have proven experience as an Engineering Manager or Applied Science Manager in a similar role in a fast-paced, agile software development setting.
You have a background in software engineering and are motivated to work in the domains of data engineering and data science.
You have a track record of successfully delivering complex software projects.
You are adept at inspiring, motivating and growing a cross functional team and have outstanding people management abilities.
You clearly communicate with stakeholders of different backgrounds and seniority levels, enabling efficient collaboration across the organization.
