Context of the role: 

Core Fashion is Zalando’s biggest proposition and is responsible for engaging customers and ensuring the ongoing commercial success of our Core Fashion Portfolios. Our mission is to create deep customer relationships based on strong emotional connections, making customers feel: "Zalando has me covered." We achieve this by offering experiences and products that are engaging, trustworthy, aligned with customers' values, and confidence-boosting.

Customer Experience: Core Fashion provides a compelling and effortless browsing and shopping experience. We combine inspiring and informative assortment-based storytelling with a curated selection of products that meet diverse customer needs. Our offerings attract, inspire, and surprise, while also fulfilling essential assortment requirements. We aim to gain our customers' trust and loyalty through excitement, freshness, availability, and exceptional service across multiple fashion portfolios. Each portfolio plays a distinct role, catering to different styles, purposes, and stages of life.

Building Trust and Loyalty: By delivering engaging and reliable experiences, we build trust and long-term relationships with our customers, ensuring they see Zalando as their go-to destination for fashion shopping. Our goal is for customers to feel confident and well-served, without needing to consider alternatives.

The Director of CX Fashion plays a pivotal role at Zalando, being accountable for shaping the customer experience through the digital journey we build on top of our fashion assortment. This role is about defining a vision for a leading customer experience in our Core Fashion assortment that combines inspiring content, high-quality assortment, and meaningful advice into a seamless and engaging journey. This role then works closely with key stakeholders across the platform to turn that vision into a reality.
 

Vision and Strategy: The Director of CX Fashion sets the vision for an exceptional customer experience that drives engagement and retention within the Fashion segment while teaming up with other proposition leaders to contribute to the success of our overall B2C platform. This vision integrates inspiring content, a carefully curated assortment, and personalized advice to ensure a flawless shopping experience.

Collaboration and Execution: Working closely with their own team as well as other critical stakeholders across our platform, the Director of CX Fashion executes this strategy by leveraging established processes such as product development and portfolio management. They ensure that the team's efforts are aligned and effectively implemented, fostering collaboration and innovation.

Impact and Leadership: This role is critical in creating a customer journey that captivates and retains our customers, enhancing their overall experience with Zalando. By driving engagement through excellent content, product selection, and advice, the Director of CX Fashion contributes to the growth and success of the entire platform.
