THE ROLE & THE TEAM
Partner Tech is one of the core departments in Zalando. Our goal is to empower and excite our Partners with simple, scalable, frictionless and intuitive technology solutions making Zalando the preferred eCommerce channel for brands and retailers. We enable our Partners to do business directly with Zalando or through their own warehouses and stores and unlock new business opportunities and insights while doing so.
As a consequence Partner Tech has the scope, ambition, and humility to make a lasting impact on Zalando and beyond.
The Partner Tech Product Insights and Design Team is an international team of 25 product designers, user researchers and content designers based in both Berlin and Helsinki, Finland. Together we are working across three different partner offerings, such as Partner Program, Connected Retail and Wholesale, defining holistic and impactful solutions for the now and defining visions and strategy for the future.
You will work collaboratively with product management, engineering, content designers and other stakeholders and different teams across Zalando.
You will bring big-picture and systems thinking to life through collaboration, creativity and craft. By thinking big, adaptable and at scale, you’ll make the future tangible and fuel the vision for the ecommerce platform of tomorrow.
You will use a wide variety of skills and frameworks. While strong foundational UX skills are a must, experience with designing for robust platforms, and experience in systems thinking with a strong love of craft will help you succeed.
As a thought leader and role model, you will contribute to the Zalando Product Design community and the larger European design industry by sharing best practices, mentoring and teaching colleagues, crafting best-in-class solutions, bar-raising in design reviews, and sparking inspiring conversations.

You have worked on ambiguous strategic projects, are able to create clarity amid uncertainty, and can guide team members through such projects.
You have experience designing and delivering coherent experiences by partnering with stakeholders and other designers to develop remarkable solutions that challenge the status quo.
You love designing innovative technology products and place humans at the center of your design process — ensuring that geeky tech and forward-looking experience design always serves real human needs.
You have a solid range of design skills in your ever growing toolkit– including user research, workshop facilitation, UX and UI design– to ensure fluid and holistic customer journeys.
